I also did another upgrade of Reptile:
-added Animality
-stance can now be changed by pressing start, removed taunt
-every round he now randomly pics sub-zeros or scorpions stance

Awesome stuff that you are doing  :sugoi:

I like the idea of having Jax as Background"helper", but he might need a shadow, cause it looks kind of strange compared to the fighting chars  ;)

Thx. Sadly I can't use shadows on Jax, since the shadow won't connect to his feet and he would look like he is floating in the air.



update on Ermac:
- Teleport Punch can now be done in air
- Special Moveset is now complete
- added Animality


I also changed the titelscreen to something new:



The charpics are moving like in the arcade and "Press Start" is blinking.

For now he has the ones from UMK3. I still have to do the Fatalities. The only ones I have done so far are the head decap fatality and his animality.

I cut the floor sprite into different pieces, so the floor and background wall now scrolls like in the original arcade game.

I guess you could make sprites for the Shadow (if the Shadow parameters in all your stages are the same) and use explodes with lower sprpriority triggered from jax's animations.  


EDIT: After looking at your Screenshots I' have realized that there are different Shadow parameters in you stages, so my solution wouldn't make much sense  :S

You are doing really nice and promising work for the future.I completely support making chars competible with other mugen rosters.You also did some nicework on interactive stages so ur mk project isbecoming much different than the others.Looking forward for ur other releases,specially Goro :)  but there are some issues though all ur chars at beta phase now so i think its right to give some constructive feedback.

subzero sprites seems to have some weirdly colored pixels
Yeah I noticed that after I had Scorpion ready and played for the first time with Scorpion against Sub-Zero. When I started Sub-Zero, I made a mistake with the colour palettes. So I will fix his colour palettes and sprites before he goes from beta to version 1.

liukang also have some green pixels surrounding him.
That's cause I used Mike Obrechts Liu Kang as a base. He rushed that char and never finished it. But I plan to replace all original sprites that have those green pixels with new ones.

Also thank you for the photoshop tip. might come in handy ;)

Please feel free to post other bugs you have found. I may have fixed some allready, but there also might be some that I may not have seen so far.

thanks and I haven't coded that fatality yet, but it will be in for his first release.

Subzero:
*after a successful airkick recovering time takes too much time.
*Back+HK doesnt make opponnent fall(this maybe intentional .i dont remember mk1 mechanics carefully,but since they have updated moves :) )
*ice clone dissappears too fast(nothing serious)
*crouch LK,HK has same animation and both have no sound effect
*This is not a bug that derives from u but icebolt of subzero makes juano16's MK chars to get frozen but also they shift between 2 states while frozen.u may wantto check it somehow.
*U may wantto change command for sliding move to be more player friendly..like (LP+LK+back)
*Subzero used to be able to freeze while there is a iceclone present.
*His sweep is 2hits somehow.

Liukang:
I guess most of the bugs are because of using mike's work  :) but i am just gonna mention some, so u may pay attention while making char again.
*crouch LK,HK has same animation and both have no sound effect(ok the anim is because of being MK1 i get it..)
*2hits sweep
*his fireball has some weird frames,bicycle kick now working properly to a cornered opponent and looks weird.

Thanks for the bug report.

The back+HK and the low kick are working like in MK1. They didn't fall after being hit by back+HK and the low kick just had 1 animation + no sound.
I will look into the rest.

As far as an update of my first post goes, I tried many times to update it, but I always get an error message. So I can't do anything about it for the moment.

Fixed some stuff:
-sweep kick fixed on all chars (also like in MK1, you now have to wait till the opponent gets back on it's feet to sweep him/her again)
-Liu Kangs Fire Dragon changed into the MK1 Fireball and fixed its animation
-Bicycle Kick on cornerd opponent has been fixed
-Sub-Zero's standing animation has been fixed (I made it smaller than the other sprites, that's why it got strange looking colours)

btw i looked into mk II liukang about his projectile.(since that was his projectile at mk2)it seems the problem was,firedragon sprite was too big.like 2x bigger than it should be,and that is causing it to look weird on the frames i posted before.

i think it is ok to update projectiles,effects for MK1 character's while keeping their own sprites. since new projectiles looks much better.same for subzero's ice.but u are the one to decide it.its ur game.

Hi there,

I just want you to know that I am still working on this project.
The reason for me not to post in a while is because I have to attend to a vocational retraining course. This means for the next 2 years, I will have little to no free time. That makes it impossible for me to do a lot of posting during that time.  But I wont give up my project.

Now, since the last time I postet an update, I moved to the new Mugen 1.0 engine.
I also did some bugfixes on different chars, worked on some fonts, changed the lifebars a little, redid the VS screen, made a logo intro and added some moves to Raiden.

I just uploaded a new clip on youtube where I play 3 matches in the Tournament Mode with Raiden:

since I allready set up a system for stage interactions, one of my plans is to give every stage its own "Fatality-Time-Music". As far as stage fatalities goes, I want to do at least the Fatality for "The Pit", but I am not sure if I can pull it of as good as the guys from MKP did it.
