He's teasing six.  Well, five four now.

The picture of the boots were revealed ages ago, the one on the far left is Quan Chi's, so we can presume they're all upcoming characters.
The new element of the picture are the heads at the bottom, which hints at Jax.

Don't worry about that. I highly doubt he will be just for pre-order, I'm pretty sure he'll be available later, either as DLC or in MKX: Komplete Edition.

Actually zombie Liu Kang was around before the new zombie craze. I really think zombie Liu Kang was just supposed to be a joking way to include him in new MK games without him being a part of the plot. Which IIRC he was in the plot anyway...not sure about that actually I don't remember

Well, Quan Chi could bring some of them back, but they'd look different and/or act different.  That's been stated, but it would be different to have a spector/shadow version of Liu Kang.  Maybe his soul got mixed with Kung Lao's.  That is, if Kung Lao's dead.

Call him "Liu Lao" or  "Kung Kang" XD
