Moving/attacking before battle

No idea if a topic has been made about this, but...
Any idea what coding I need to add/remove to allow characters to walk around before the beginning of battle?
What coding do I need to add/remove to make them attack during that too?
Yo dog I herd yo and yo dog liked yoyos so we put yo dog in a yoyo so yo can yoyo yo dog while yo dog yoyos dog.

mostlikely a characters intro gives them ctrl=1 look around statedef 190 to see if in a statedef you see anything that says ctrl=1 if so change it to ctrl=0 or just remove it.
