Additionally, regarding that fanart, apparently that was the inspiration for the Bishounen English, and Hussie had to actually apologize and credit the person who drew that art. So he had to apologize for making derivative art of someone's derivative art of his work. Okay.

Concept art and updates and such regarding the game.

Spoiler: Spoiler'd because it's all in giant long images (click to see content)

HIVESWAP

This is the title of the first game. Like I said, the hook the two games share is that early on, the two main characters will trade places. So this means a human girl will have an adventure on Alternia (the troll planet), and a troll boy will have an adventure on Earth. Their objective (well, among others) is to get home. The first game follows the girl on Alternia, who's trying to get back to Earth. The stories of the two games won't have much to do with each other, except for sharing the device responsible for the swap, and the two heroes meeting each other's respective group of friends.

Also it's being released episodically, and they're working on moving development in-house to What Pumpkin to maybe see if this could become a series if the first game does well enough?  They're getting really ambitious with this.

Why is it that all these deaths feel so devastating when we know for a fact that the rules of this story clearly demonstrate that death is both A) not even remotely close to a final end for any character and B) an incredibly impermanent, fixable state?

I think because as far as we know, once a God Tier kicks the bucket, that's it.

But we've seen Vriska do all sorts of faffing around in the dream bubbles since forever ago when she died.  Plus, Aranea was a God Tier and she was able to revive with the Ring of Life.

I don't know.  There's no way in hell we're not going to see all of these characters again, so it feels weird that their deaths feel so meaningful when we know for a fact that they sort of aren't.

And then there was the time Dante Basco made a music video about Homestuck while cosplaying as Rufioh.

Also I dunno if anyone noticed but Hussie posted a big write-up on God Tiers and the morality system that decides death, because apparently people thought at least three of the deaths broke the rules.
Spoiler: theory that will most likely blow up in my face on Wednesday (click to see content)
