Mspaint Mugen: the need to know basics

  • does this look like the face of mercy?

Basics:
Movement:
walk and dash/run
jump
crouch

hurt:
about to fall( think of it as a link to the following)
falling
fallen( lying on the ground)
Smashed on head
2 frames per each of the following
hurt standing weak
hurt standing strong
hurt standing doubling over ( gut punch)
Dizzy
hurt crouch strong
hurt crouch weak

Attacks
standing:
weak
medium
strong

crouch
weak
medium
strong

jumping
weak
medium
strong

several combo links ( that meaning, during comboing, lets say weak weak strong, a new animation can pop out, this is where most of the outlandish hit animations are, like Rolento grabbing the opponent and stabbing them)

as many specials as wanted( As bea grabbed the sheets she would usually do a bunch of moves from sprites that i didnt even saw them coming)
1 super
1 ultra
intros
winposes
1 throw( at least something that resembles a throw, we havent really decided if all chars will have throws but so far they are being prepared each with at least one)

All chars should try to keep between a scale of about Titiln size and under or at iced size, but we can use the scale later on to fix them in small proportions. Pots for instance got scaled down a tiny bit because he was too tall.

The general idea is to have a small roster of mugen people like Bea, Cad, Titlin, Iced among a few others in a silly tournament held by a certain dictator.
Iced takes care of the spriting, and all the programming is done by Beatrice, avoiding the common full game project pitfall of relying on lots of people to work together for a common objective.
We saw one project too many fail due to that.

Keep in mind that we'll select mostly the prominent people of the Mugen community, and those with balanced/cool gameplay ideas.
Overpowered character ideas will be discarded at sight.

Stages are made by several persons and dealt on a per case basis.

Suffering from this a bit nowadays.
It's not easy to get home and code after a stressful day spent coding.  :S
Hence, development is being slow on my part.

So essentially we're allowed to make our own sprites and post the movelist ideas of 'em, right?

Just double-checking since I read the concept over a few times

Also what's the verdict on voice clips?

sooner or later, everybody puts up with xiangfei
project thread / obscure mugen wiki / tweeter for mugen stuff

Did I miss the submission date?

I know I'm down in the dumps these last months but I have no excuses if I can't register and has to end up creating mysell now.
