Mugen 1.0 Characters are too big on my screen

I downloaded the EVE HD screenpack, and my resolution is 1920x1080.  I've set my mugen.cfg to these values for for gameheight/width.

The characters are like, taking up the screen, their heads are just beneath the lifebars. 

Conversely, if I set the game height/width lower, the stages and characters look ok, but, the screenpack looks awful for the menus and character select.

Any suggestions?

Yeah HD resolutions unfortunately have the characters too big.
I suggest getting a 640x480 screenpack
Here are some 2 good ones

Holds about 200 or 500 if you want that much characters

These are standard res so the characters won't be too big like what you have right now. Also if you use Hi-Red stages they won't lag as much.
