Hi everyone,

I saw a video about half a year ago that tells me how to change my mugen character portrait using

fighter factory, irfanview and photoshop, i loved it because i could use a picture without sacrificing the background to a transparent color.

but then i couldnt find it now.... im trying to change some character portraits to fit my new mugen collection... but i cant..

can anyone give me the link or give me a step by step on this one?

i tried the fighter factory editing... but it doesnt work for me, it always ends up looking stupid, believe me...

Do you want the background to be transparent?

Read this tutorial.  I know it's for stage making but read the part where it says "1. Applying a palette to a sprite", there it shows you how to make the background into a transparent color :)

Hi!, thanks for the reply,

i actually want to keep the background, for example if i was to use your signature,

id want to keep those lines instead of just ochigi alone.

id like to remember the old editing formula which involves photoshop and irfanview, thanks!

Well I'm not too sure what you mean but are  you saying that you want to keep stuff in the background but not the whole background itself?

If so, just make sure that everything that you don't want to keep is the transparent color (also known as color 0)
