MUGEN disabled my PC's sound?

Hi, I just wanted to ask for some help on this issue I have:

I downloaded MUGEN and just yesterday I mistakenly opened MUGEN forgetting that I had an mp3 playing in the background. When I exit MUGEN to shut the mp3 player I realize the sound for everything but MUGEN has been disabled. I can't listen to music or watch a video with audio now, I tried deleting everything MUGEN-related and rebooting my PC a few times but nothing works!

What's going on?!  ???

wow this is the first time ive ever heard this problem happening....uhh check if the speaker jacks is correctly in,
update your sound drivers, reboot your pc, system restore(if you know how to use it),just keep trying to fix it but i highly think its not mugen that is causing the problem

Already checked plugging and unplugging the speakers, already rebooted my PC three times...and I disabled system restore because my PC can't store a lot of GBs and since my family uses this computer for pretty much everything I can't use a lot of space for games and stuff, so I'm just left with the sound driver thing...I guess I'll try changing the speakers and see of that works. Thanks.

[glow=black,2,300]Mugen sound is linked to the pc sound. Turn mugen's volume to the same volume as your cpu's volume and youll be aight.[/glow]

You mean from the .cfg file or from the game? I guess I'll have to download to game again and see if it works, thanks.

[glow=black,2,300]No problem dude. To answer your question: Maybe. I say that because the .cfg file sound is the same sound config from inside the game in the mugen options BUT there is also another "Master Sound" configuration inside of the .cfg file as well. Gotta maybe toggle them both to get your desired results. Itll also help, but not completely solve this if you exit the game from the exit option on the mugen title screen instead of just clicking 'x' or pressing the 'escape' key.[/glow]

Well I feel kind of dumb right now, it turned out to be just what you said. I downloaded the No limit winmugen and just turned the volume up a notch, though I had to exit the application by closing the window directly, otherwise it just left me with no sound at all again...how bizarre  ???. Thanks again (I promise it's the last time I say that).  ;D
