I recently switched to a 64x System to discover that my previous MUGEN version didn't function properly(and when changing compatability on a win7 operating system.. ran but horribly slow)so searching these boards I've noticed there was a HI-RES version of mugen, and downloaded that.It works fine (even with the old stages from the other version)However.. If I try to run it with any (and I haven't checked if it was just specific chars, considering there are 480+ chars) of the characters I've aquired in my previous version..I get an error "MUGEN has stopped working and must shut down"same with my old motiv's as well.Other than that it works fine.--------My question is..Is there a means of importing my old chars from the other nolimit mugen version into the high-res version?also whats the difference between chars for the high res and original version?-------------Also on an unrelated note..what are the Avatar requirements for this site? it keeps saying the one i'm trying to upload is 'too large or not an avatar'

there is no difference if you use a char in the old mugen version and the hi-res version: the hires mugen hack just allows you to play lores and hires stages, and also make the title menu and the select screen hires.. mugen itself doesn't turn a lores char into an hires char!!edit: some chars might have issues with the winmugen version...so, one solution is to use the Dos2Win software tool (do a search on this forum to be able to find it...or go on the Randomselect website to find it!) on them, although it doesn't give you always 100% good results!

It's cool, I've gotten it now..Apparently hires just didn't like a version of OMEGA Rugal and the Shenlong Gundam I had.so my other 500+ chars are spared.v_v (humble relief)
