I wish I had time to make videos, I'd participate. This is a great way to contribute some form of entertain to the community; better than podcasts, for sure.

Thanks and yea I hear ya. The only time I have is late at night where I can focus and concentrate on a few hobbies of mine. I will have other type of interactive material similar to this in the near future.

Definitely don't get discouraged though because I love this idea.

IIRC, their AIs get screwed when playing in 1.0

Send me a PM if you decide to add me on PSN, so I don't mistake you for a random Friend whore.

There's always the POTS patched versions. They remove some cheapness and add scaleable AI, winquotes, general 1.0 stuff.

For some reason this idea reminds me of the Mugen Event Mode that used to be on Judgespear's forums (which were supposed to be based on Smash Bros Melee & Brawl's Event Mode). I have to agree with the idea, it's a hell of a lot better than the AI vs AI match vids that plague youtube by a mile at least.

i actually find this concept kind of interesting except for the part in which you let people use whatever character they want. the character people use in these challenges should be the same. a level playing field, a better display of skill.

Gonna have to agree with Titiln here. If a character with a certain gameplay style completely outclasses another (like say player controlled MvC/2, GG or MB gameplay versus AI with something like SSF2T gameplay) then thats too big of an advantage and doesn't require as much skill, and you're basically reinventing the boring AI vs AI team tournament vids I mentioned earlier.

However, forcing people to use a specific character in the matches forces them to adapt to the situation and learn, especially if its a character or gameplay that they're not entirely familiar with.

You limit yourself so badly when you try to avoid variables. When you get over your fear of the "complexity" of variables, you will find yourself in a better place: A beautiful world where coding is actually fun.

Thanks! I will keep that in mind for the next targets.
