I've been away for a while now and I've probably missed a shittons of things. Last time i've left, Pneophen just vanished someplace and POTS was on a Capcom vs snk streak. What's new? I see Mugen has been updated by Elecbyte but is that such a good thing? I've got that old version of mugen still on my hard drive and so many things to update. I'm picking back up my old projects and finishing university. So yeah, what's new with the mugen community? Online hasn't been implented yet and Shugendo doesn't seem to be moving so that's something i haven't missed.

Judging by the speed he went by some CvsSNK characters, i'm not impressed. How about GCNMario, Borghi or even Mature4ver?

Tag seems interesting but i've seen characters with tag features back in the day. Was it Ken, Sean and some other guy all in one? I think it had tag within it.

Yeah, I know the feeling. I've been working too much for my own good and school has me pinned down. I'm still learning stuff though and my thunder megazord does a lot of senseless crap.

If you are using older equipment. As in a non-HD monitor. I wouldn't bother updating your old mugen, if you are happy with it. I would just download Mugen 1.0 and start a new roster and screen ect.

You know how much work it can be... And there is a lot of good stuff since your days.

On creating for the new engine. The AI triggers are a big help.

Ash is still around, but he hangs at Elecbyte. There are not to many dinosaurs around anymore. No offence lol.

Well it was, as were most places involving Mugen. The mugen communities as a whole are much more tame on the ego than they used to be, imo.
There is still a lot of friend on friend, fan boy on creator, white knight-esque peenus sucking though. But at least that shows an act of courtesy.


Mugen 1.1 is recent and good and pretty. Also Ace Downing seems to have left Mugen once again.  :(

Ironmugen quit mugen, but then came back to finally released the unfinished beta of his Ultimate Garou game (becasue he doesn't plan to finish it anymore) as well as other private characters he had... and then he quit mugen again but still lurks under the shadows of little girls skirts.

Kung Fu Man, Ironmugen.. those names I know. They have went separate ways? I still have countless of their old garbage like Flynn Taggart. Good times. In all the communities i've overviewed, mugen was the least I've thought that could have drama into it. I mean, what else is there except criticism over badly coded dragonball Z characters.

I will try to explain in a nutshell:

Mentally handicapped Frenchman changes a single character in Mugen's readme, slaps his name on it, sets up a 'company', and procedes to sell his product to the masses.

When confronted, he reveals that he is actually a genius, versace wearing, lawyer, ninja who has been to the top business school in France. The situation heats up between lawyer ninja and Byakko and the two fight each other irl outside of an arcade.

Hijinks continue over the course of a year. Cybaster does funny things.
At some point our businessman got his lawyers to sue the MFG site for....some reason that of course had no legal merit.

Businessman procedes to spit in Elecbyte's face, Elecbyte tries to keep things civil, businessman refuses, Elecbyte takes legal action.

With his precious company in shambles, businessman decides he no longer has the will to live.

He sued us for talking shit about his company and because we had threads where people released things that had the same base images as the things he "did" ( and were coded better) , so we were stealing his copyrights of doing those things for mugen. ( basically cybaster and others grabbed the source images of a couple stages he did, and recoded them to actually work , the images had not been drawn by the frenchguy nor where they his property, they were just random 3d wallpapers from the internet. His reasoning was that he was the first to do it so it was legally his.)

AOK did a version of that stage as well, after about 40 seconds the words "Vyx is a theif" faded in. It got hosted on his site, by him, which was fucking funny.

When mugen 1.0 finally came around, I kind of got back into the community. Considering mugen 1.0 has all the new features now. I started fidling around with my characters again, did some minor winmugen to 1.0 updates on some of my characters. Eventually came up with a broken Ryu edit of mine, callling it Koryu.

I wouldn't consider that a infinite since you have to make your opponent bounce of the wall and if you do it on the wrong side of the stage the stage interaction would activate.

I still remember Reu. Its the reason that I am here today. His project and the people that worked with him was the first I saw when I got introduced to Mugen and its what is pushing me to finish my project.

I dont even remember. I think 2005 for me.

I only registered since january 2005 and making 1 (or 2) original chars, but for the most part of my activities is in all that left section, soon I'll disappear once more to the sims paradise, where I really shine!
I'm done creating stuff for mugen. until elecbyte decides to implement graphic filter for the sprites

The fact you bumped a really old topic.

Yes, i know there was a shitstorm. You took it offline and forced people to jump through hoops. That's ego. I've distilled it to the rather petty essence of the whole thing. I didn't care, nor do i actually have anything against you, that's just how it came across.

Please note, when you took it offline, i wasn't actually interested in downloading it and have always known that psycho shredder was meant to be a challenge for coders rather than something to enjoy playing as, or against.
