if i take out over half my chars it works but when i put all them it its says problem has stopped the program from working correctly.

in mugenw the last sentence is Initializing select screen...finding characters...

Put them in one by one. Maybe it's a particular character which has a problem. Or maybe you just don't have enough memory.

Riiight...i've had this same problem too. I don't know if yer reason fer it not working is the same as mine, but i could give it a try...

I have Windows Vista, and i have the EVE (everything vs. everything). I have a lot of chars, over 600, so chances are the program overloaded err whatnot. when i opened the text file that pretty much lists the executions the game did, i find that it stops somewhere along "initializing start screen...finding characters..." and then it crashes. a window comes up and says "a problem has caused the program to start working correctly". So basically as soon as i open it and press start, the game dies.

I don't know why it's doing that. I might try what you did and i'll see what happens, if not, i'll try to find out. i've been searching all over fer the answer to this. but no real answer yet. So consider this a considerable bump.

Okay, i think i figured out yer problem. I figured out my problem and now it works just fine. there's a similar topic that i answered (or attempted to) fer this one guy. he's kinda havin the same problem as yers.
