Ok,... this is question number 2 i posted on this forum related to stage developing,..  if its too stupid too ask, just tell me, cause i know this should be kiddy stuff for most guys on here.

I created my third stage now,.. only this one has a transparant layer onto it. It looks perfectly fine in the Stage Viewer,.. but in MUGEN its like David Copperfield, and i just wonder where the hell it went.  :furious3:

The question is,.. how do i fix this?

I hope the pic says enough,.. anyway,..  thanx in advance,.. your people rock!  :2thumbsup:

judging by the beautiful colors in the bg, the image has got high color depth and windows mugen does not support those, while stage viewer might. keep a back up copy of the original image and reduce the one in your bg to 256 colors.

Sounds about right,...  i did try to "convert all to 256" in Fighter Factory,.. perhaps it only did so with the foreground layer. I'm gonna check out if i can fix the colors for it. Thanx,..

Hey i fixed the stage,.. i have no idea how i did it,.. but it wasnt the background layer,..  it still looks as it does in the pic i showed with post i started with. The strange things is,.. now it all looks fucked up in the Stage Viewer, but it works in MUGEN.

So thanx,.. even though i didnt knew what i had do to with it,.. probably wouldnt have gotten it working without you pointing it out for me.

Cheers,..   :2thumbsup:

Dude I feel like giving you a tip on that background, cuz it's so nice... :sugoi:
Go into GIMP or photoshop and use some nice filter to make it look more cartoony or, (not photo).
Like oil paint or comic look. Cuz a photograph in a 2d fighting game doesn't look so good.  :ninja:
Sorry for my bad english...

Thanx,.. i will do some comic like stages later on,.. never heard of gimp, i'll look it up. The stage looks already much better now,.. i made the tips of the grass in the foreground layer a bit darker so they blend better with the background. And the level is quite high,.. big mountain.  ;D
