my charcter is finally working! thanks everyone (mostly God's Anger). now my character is about 6% done probably but i don't know. you can download the beta of Shrek here: http://www.sendspace.com/file/vfymed

btw i only made the animations of him running/walking forward, his first attack (but it doesn't hurt the other player yet) and his stance (he blinks every few seconds).

ok i have a problem. i made an attack called "stand medium punch" and i put a collision attack box around him when he attacks so its supposed to hurt the player BUT IT DOESNT so wat am i supposed 2 do? ill give anyone the download link if they need it

Does the red collision box appear in debug mode (Ctrl+D then Ctrl+C). If yes, did you set the type as Attack and create your hitdef in the code ?

WHEN YOU CHOSE MY CHAR (oops sry i had caps lock on my bad) in the char selection screen it just quits mugen and says theres an error

well, other people might get quite annoyed by this because your "ZOMG DOUBLE POSTING" just post your question in the developmental help.

If your character is crashing MUGEN all of a sudden get the error message, then post it. i for one don't like downloading characters to find out problems; but i can't speak for everyone. Remember what you did last, go back, delete some stuff see if it works. You shouldn't expect people to help you every time something is wrong. Learn to test your characters for errors yourself; what you're doing now is going to delay the knowledge you can consume by doing it yourself.


Also, be patient, people get around to answering(in the correct sections; where you should post) questions when they do. i know i make it a priority when i am logged in to help in the help section if it's something that i can help with.

If you want help then do what Rajaa is saying. Post for help in the right topic. Not in a Projects topic. Even if it is yours. You might not get any help.

If it crashes when you try to play as him. It could be because of your Dizzy state. It has a glitch in it. Go to the very last state (5300, Dizzy), delete it, then add it again.
Or it could be your def file is trying to open a snd file or some other file that doesn't even exist. If you don't have the file its trying to open then just leave the spot blank if you know what I mean.
Your character might not be hitting because you may have a red clsn box, but you might not have a blue clsn box. Or in your coding you might not have the coding for the attack. If you don't know what I'm talking about then you need to learn more about Mugen and Fighter Factory. Go onto youtube and look up uroz23's tutorials and bovery23's tutorials. They can be very helpful.

thanks for the help. it wasnt working because of the Dizzy thing. are there any more animation things with glitches in them because his losing animation isn't working.

You might have more than 1 losing state in your coding. I do it a lot. I don't remember what it does, but it sometimes doesn't play right.
Or you might not have anything in the animation for the losing state. Also, you don't die to see the losing state. You let the timer run out. Dying just shows your guy lying down or whatever it is you have for that animation.

where do i put the hitdef in?? i know i hav to put it in the cns file but where in the cns file?

btw im using the Electybte player template in FF.

now im like 32% done i added 6 basic moves and a bunch of other stuff. now i have 2 go online to look up how 2 look up how 2 add special moves so soon i can kick my bros ass @ mugen cuz h usally ownz me w/ zeeky h. bomb
