The quote button in the post reply editor thingy doesn't look very... quotelike. It's not really clear that that button is the insert quote button unless you hover over it.

I dunno, I replied here and I received an email even though I've never used the feature. I see the topic in the "Active topic subscriptions" list, I check it and click on "unnotify" but it's still there. I've stopped receiving mails only because I asked to receive "nothing at all".
edit - the long post form ("x posts have been made while you were typing") has "notify me of replies" enabled by default (I've never used it) and it's on even though I used the quick reply thing.

can't say i approve of this this whole new forum "upgrade" is a mess to look at, the color scheme is way to bright and hurts my eyes as well.

will take care of that, fixing actual errors first before I do change any inconvenient behavior things.

I still see the old MFG logo while replying (A bit cut off at the bottom). Also site needs a new logo I guess, just fonts would be too simple :P

I've tried auto detect several times in my profile, and no matter what, everything says two hours ago. The times themselves are right. It's 7:15 here, and recent posts say 7:10 or 7:12, so those time stamps are right, but the relative ones are all off by two hours for me. Any way to fix this?

EDIT: To be clearer, I just posted this. It says "about 2 hours ago," but if I hover over that, it says 7:16, which is correct (or close to correct).
Son, the last thing you'll realize you need is what you've already got.

Hmm, I was hoping it might still show the exact time something was posted, but have the date be dynamic. :-\

I guess I can live with it though.

Another small quirk. When you add a new buddy to your list, it doesn't auto complete the text anymore.

Autodetect didn't work for me as well. I had to manually adjust the time offset to 4 to make it work.

Also, that portion of white space at the right side of the main page really sucks.

Yeah, i can't see how to change that.

Apparently post count is mobile for g.mods. I have "I am a geek!!!" status now =P

And i hate the serif fonts. They are ugmo. Found a slight size change, goes as far as 11 (that's a bit abitrary) but can't find a font swap.

I clicked "disable dynamic time stamps" and it just got rid of the whole "about **** ago" thing. Everything just has the times now. That fixes things for me because I prefer actual times, but that's still a problem for others.

I do want to note, even though I'm just one guy and my opinion alone won't change things much, but I really don't like this new layout. It's not a fear of change thing, I just find it less appealing.

You can toggle it off with the >> next to your profile... but then you lose the "recent posts" feed.

edit - wow, the forum main page doesn't have the same time offset for some reason. I fixed the one in the post manually so it doesn't say my post was 2 hours ago, but the main page says I posted 7 hours from now. Magic.

Hi all :)

Just FYI... I'm the main developer of this forum software, which is a heavily (forked) version of SMF 2.0 with lots of changes, new things, a new look (obviously) and more.

Like Valodim said, it's still a work in progress and not everything is as perfect as it should be, though basic functionality is not much different from SMF and most people should figure out things quickly.

I'm very open to suggestions, feedback, critique, because, as far as I'm aware, this is the first really big installation on a forum with > 1M posts (which makes me a bit proud - my own forum is a lot smaller than this one).

I've read some people would prefer a darker theme and such a thing is indeed already planned (and in the works) as a simple theme variant; it will keep the layout but change colors, gradients etc.

As for the timezone problem - looks like the overall time zone offset is wrong in the admin panel. At the bottom of the page it says the forum time is 6:17PM European/Berlin which is certainly wrong (it should say 1:20AM right now, so it seems to be off by 7 hours. The auto-detect in the profile will only work when the basic forum time zone is correct.

Am I the only one who does not like the font ? it's too clear/aliased and "blurs" too much with teh background making text difficult to read.
