Remember that screenshot I posted a long time ago that showed the forum imploding? Seems that happens if I log into the forum on a public Wi-Fi network. Is this something that can be fixed here, or am I SOL if I login here on my school's wi-fi network?

Yay popup notification, even if it's more intrusive than before.

Oddly enough (IE quirk again) IE will place it up in the top left. Firefox places it correctly in the middle.

more intrusive? it's a modal dialogue in the middle of the screen. at least now you can just click anywhere outside the popup and not just some small button to make it go away :P

It's old (Hence the "Ow my eyes" logo), but I get this every time I login on my campus wi-fi (On it right now, and getting this crap every time I change a page). I refresh the page, it looks normal, do anything else, and it results in this.

EDIT: Seems to only happen with Firefox while I'm on the school's network. Works fine on Chrome, and I refuse to test it on IE.

I would like a button on the top of a thread to simply 'not show this thread in replies anymore' .
Sometimes you just wanna post a single comment and not follow the thread anymore.
You have a 'subscribe to this thread'  button (not sure what it does, I guess the same as replying in it),
so an 'unsubscribe'  button would be welcomed.

I like to manage my thread-newsfeed a bit :P

By default, when you reply to a topic, you automatically subscribe, and the link at the top that says "Subscribe to this topic" changes to "You are subscribed to this topic, Unsubscribe".
You can also disable the automatic subscription in Profile > Notifications > uncheck Turn notification on when you post or reply to a topic.

But that's the thing, it still says 'Subscribe to this topic', even if it SHOULD say; 'you are subscribed, Unsubscribe' .

you are talking about the "new replies to your posts" list, right? sorry an opt-out for specific topics there would be a fairly extensive feature, and I don't think many people here have that complex a forum workflow to use it.

if you want to keep a list of topics handy, subscription is a good way to do that. you can automatically have topics added to that when you reply (or disable it selectively in the full post form options), there is a link in the top right menu to that list, aaand you can also disable getting mails about topics you are subscribed to if you only want to use it as a watchlist.

By default, when you reply to a topic, you automatically subscribe, and the link at the top that says "Subscribe to this topic" changes to "You are subscribed to this topic, Unsubscribe".

no you don't, that's an opt-in feature.

Oh good, I was thinking about back when it was a bug and you had to work it through to opt out.

that looks like there is no css applied. hum. can you use firebug in FF and see in the "Net" panel if the css sheet has been loaded properly, or if any file there fails?

I've never worked with Firebug. I installed it, looked in "Net>CSS" and I have no clue where to look.

huh. it doesn't load the base css files, for some reason. can you do view source, and see if there is a line like this:
Code:
    <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="//mugenguild.com/forum/Themes/mfg/css/base.css?v=1588" />
    <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="//mugenguild.com/forum/Themes/mfg/css/skin_default.css?v=1588" />

should be somewhere at the top, around the 8th line.

also, does this link work for you? it should, just checking.. http://mugenguild.com/forum/Themes/mfg/css/base.css?v=1588

Someone mentioned above the move topic notice by pm. That's now an activity thingie and the owner of a thread is always notified when someone moves around his stuff.

I'll check it all the next time I'm on campus, which won't be until Monday. Until then, I can say everything's fine until I head there (Really, it's only when I'm not at home that I get that). The view source shows those lines right now, primarily because I'm home and that network doesn't hate this place, but until Monday I can't say.

Lobo's avatar is triggering the malware flag.

It's either Lobo or Navana.

I wonder... is this normal?
Do you guys see anything strange here?
http://mugenguild.com/forum/index.php?action=search2

I control clicked search in a tab which opened another one with that address
Nah, not normal. Clearly a bug, because it's - for some unknown reason - loading the template twice when using the search2 action directly. Will look into it.

Edit: Should be fixed in the last commit.
@Valodim: It's only the two lines in Search.php that fixes the double templates thing on the search2 output.

It's either Lobo or Navana.

It was Lobo's avatar that was causing the problem.  Something with the site it was uploaded to.  I took it down and sent him a PM asking him to rehost it somewhere else.
