The new character, whose body is made entirely of metal and weapons, has two Awakening modes: Mecha Naruto (Kyubi Mode) and Mecha-Kurama

"Of course we have refined the battle system over the years. But for Revolution, we have totally changed the battle system. In order to create such a new battle system, we asked for support from other development company staff who are fighting game experts, like Street Fighter or King of Fighters."


"We'd like to make our battle system more sophisticated and more enjoyable," Matsuyama explained to us, adding that the eventual goal is to bring the game to tournaments like EVO. "Because we're Bandai Namco Games, then we can get Harada-san from Tekken to promote both games."

I never cared much for the Naruto series (I'll spare the insults and just say it never appealed to me). But I'm interested in giving it a chance suddenly; could simply be out of my hatred for monotony.

Give it a chance. I haven't watched or read the series in years, but the games are really fun and usually get better. Full Burst will eventually go on sale or just pick up some of the earlier games on PS3/360.

Naruto, Sakura and Sasuke should be able to use the new Combination Ultimate Jutsu attacks, which combines the power of all three in order to create a powerful technique (more details here). In total, “Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution” is going to feature the biggest roster size in the series with more than 100 playable characters. Finally, the upcoming title also adds a new tournament-style mode that is based on collecting orbs.

Kushina Uzumaki, the mother of our hero Naruto Uzumaki, has been confirmed playable in Naruto Storm Revolution! The news comes straight from Shonen Jump magazine which also confirms Kushina will be featured in the game-exclusive anime movie, Shinobu Katsugeki. It will reveal a secret chapter about how Kushina interacted with Minato Namikaze (her husband and Naruto’s father) along with his team of Kakashi, Obito and Rin.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution is the latest game in Bandai Namco and CyberConnect2′s acclaimed Naruto Storm series. It will be for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. The game will contain stories never before seen in the Naruto anime/manga, including the Creation of Akatsuki, Shisui’s back-story, and Kushina’s interaction with Minato’s and his team. In addition, there will be new combination team jutsus, over 100 playable characters, and 50 minutes of exclusive anime footage. Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution will be released worldwide in September 2014.

I'm glad I decided to let someone else respond to that.
Yeah, I heard he's ridiculously powerful in the manga these days.

And hopefully they keep some semblance of their identity and keep some of the simple aspects. I'm becoming old and don't have the hand skills to shoot hadohkens repeatedly.

They'll probably have to grow out of having just one attack button though.

In addition, Jump reports that the game has some sort of a customization feature that allows players to outfit the game’s characters with accessories to change their appearance. This feature will be available to players that have save data from Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 on their consoles.

We asked the producers of King of Fighters, Street Fighter, even Tekken, for input on this, and we’ve come together to make the combat system something that, while open to new players, also offers traditional fighting game fans new challenges.

What CC2 would have to do is get people (people who know what a good fighter looks like) to play the game before it's release so that they can refine the gameplay during development (like location tests).

Bandai Namco Games has confirmed the English demo for Naruto Storm Revolution! Like the Japanese version, the English version will be available on July 2, 2014. It will also have online which will be available until July 23, 2014. The announcement comes from the European branch of Bandai Namco (official press release below), but we expect North America will receive the demo around the same time, if not the same day. No specific announcement was made on what platform the English demo would be available, but we expect it will be on both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Of course we’ll keep you up-to-date right here on Saiyan Island as the latest news breaks!

If you reserve Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution in Japan you’ll get a bonus anime short with the game. Naruto Shippuden: Sunny Side Battle is a comedy short from the Jump Super Anime Tour that features Itachi and Sasuke.

PlayStation 3 owners can redeem a code to download Sunny Side Battle and watch it using Play View. Xbox 360 owners can watch stream the video by selecting partners from the anime menu in the dashboard’s video menu.

Players will also get a code to download Itachi’s apron as a costume for Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution. This is in addition to the five other bonus costumes. As of now, the anime short has not been announced for North America or Europe.

Madara Uchiha and Hashirama Senju will be playable in Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution, this week’s Jump reveals.

Both return via the forbidden Impure World Reincarnation summoning technique.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution is due out for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on September 11 in Japan and later this year in North America and Europe.

A summer clothes DLC pack will be released on September 25, and will be available for Sakura, Ino, Hinata, and Tenten. The business suit DLC pack will be released on October 2, and will be available to use on Naruto, Sasuke, Shikamaru, Gaara, Sai, and Minato. Both packs will be available for a fee.
