A brand new scan has been released and it confirms Itachi’s best friend, Shisui Uchiha, will be making his way to Namco Bandai and CyberConnect2′s latest Naruto fighter as a playable character! In addition, there will be coverage of Shisui in the game’s story mode with anime-style cutscenes. The scan reveals Naruto Storm Revolution will get a Fall 2014 release, at least in Japan.

I didn't see you complain when you got to see the actual tailed beasts form with colors and detail in the past game.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution will be released for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 this September, Bandai Namco games have announced. (Yes, the game will be released on PC as well.)

Bandai Namco have also revealed Day 1 and pre-order costumes for the game. The Day 1 costumes in look interesting—they feature Naruto and Sasuke with swapped outfits. Meanwhile, the pre-order costumes are more… flamboyant.

As reported in the past, the game will include a number of new playable characters, including Mecha Naruto and Shisui Uchiha, who used to be Itachi’s buddy and was in possession of the Mangekyo Sharingan.

The game will also detail the origins of the Akatsuki and will feature new costumes for Deidara, Kakuzu, Sasori and other members of the group, designed by Naruto author Masashi Kishimoto.

I never cared much for the Naruto series (I'll spare the insults and just say it never appealed to me). But I'm interested in giving it a chance suddenly; could simply be out of my hatred for monotony.

Naruto UNSR aims to appeal to hardcore players and FGC.

Hiroshi Matsuyama said:

"Of course we have refined the battle system over the years. But for Revolution, we have totally changed the battle system. In order to create such a new battle system, we asked for support from other development company staff who are fighting game experts, like Street Fighter or King of Fighters."


"We'd like to make our battle system more sophisticated and more enjoyable," Matsuyama explained to us, adding that the eventual goal is to bring the game to tournaments like EVO. "Because we're Bandai Namco Games, then we can get Harada-san from Tekken to promote both games."
