Need help error message: can't load stage ....

Whenever I lose in arcade mode, select continue, pick my character I then get the error message: can't load stage.
The program closes down and I have to click the icon to restart it all over.

That is/was a common mugen error, I think it happens when you select a different character; I think it also got fixed in one of the hacks.

What's the hack? I've found 1 thread talking about the hack after googling it. They didn't say how to fix it all they said was there was a hack.
