need help on getting screen packs and lifebars to work on mugen 1.0

I've been trying to get a new screen pack and lifebars to work on mugen 1.0 to work but they keep crashing.
I kept getting an error message like "Can't find file Anarchy/fight.def
error loading system data: Data/mugen1/system.def
I'm quite new to playing with mugen 1.0 and it seems most of my experinces from winmugen isn't working here.

reading  your error message i could say that your path are incorrect... remember that you are using mugen 1.0 and your default path of motif is in Data/Mugen1/.... your fight.def line in your system.def had a bad sentence... i don't know maybe you don't have a folder called "anarchy" or your lifebar folder is out of mugen1 folder...

sorry for the late replie

yea, I guess my main problem is I don't have an Anarchy/fight.def folder
I'll see about finding a different screen pack then what I've been using

Edit your system.def so that it loads that.
So if you made a folder called anarchy in data...
fight = data/anarchy/fight.def

thanks. and thanks to your advice, while playing around with other screen packs, I seem to have no more problems working with some screen packs. now I need to learn how to install lifebars into my mugen 1.0
