Ok so here's the type of setup I have. Basically I have a very high end computer with a nice video card and processor built into a big wooden arcade cabinet with a television for a monitor *it's also hooked up to an optional PC monitor accross the room. I have the latest windows version MUGEN installed on that PC with the EVE pack installed and about 60 working characters installed.

When I play single player or watch a match between characters the game works great with absolutely no glitches whatsoever. The problems start happening when I play a 2 player Vs. game using the joysticks of my arcade cabinet. Some matches work great but most of the time I get one of two major glitches that ruin the gameplay.

A.) Sometimes the characters hitboxes decide to appear around them and when we hit each other the hit boxes become colored in to the point of not being able to see the character. This glitch gets progressively worse until MUGEN finally crashes.

B.) Sometimes the game speeds up to like 10 times faster than normal and eventually crashes. (We arn't changing any speed options and the speed is on normal) UNLESS there is a way to change the speed option on the fly while in the match that we accidentally tripped, I have no idea how this happens.

Both of these glitches happen randomly regardless of the characters being used only during player Vs. player mode. Watch mode and 1 player mode are both functioning just fine 95% of the time.

Once again note that this version of MUGEN is EVE and it is being played on a PC with a television monitor and X-arcade joysticks. Can anyone offer any advice or insight into fixing these issues? Possible things I could try? All of my drivers are fully up to date as is the PC OS (Windows XP Professional). Thank you in advance for the help! =D

The speed thing is a glitch with arcade sticks or someting..maybe you pushed the debug buttons?..

Which letter or key is the debug button? Furthermore which keys should I avoid pressing while playing MUGEN? I can always remap my joystick keys to avoid such things in the future with my autohotkey script program. I think you might be on the right track here with that idea considering the hitboxes are comming up randomly but only when the 2nd joystick is used...

Im not sure but most of them are "Ctrl+letter", disable the debug keys..

OK I tried remapping all the joystick keys to "safer" buttons using a new script I wrote with autohotkeyand we gave it a few playtests. So far it's working very smoothly =D thanks for the idea! I must've been hitting a debug key somewhere.
