Hi, I'm wondering if there was a way to rip sounds and sprites off of ROMS. If anyone knows how to or knows a program to rip them, plz inform me about it. Thnx for your time. ;)

I'm trying to rip any roms related to bleach, so probably the DS roms. There could be other bleach games, but i'm not sure on which console. There is one for the Wii, but I doubt I can rip it from the Wii version. P.S. This is regarding my screenpack.

true, but no one has ripped menu sprites off of the bleach DS versions. I don't blame them either, they usually don't plan to make screenpacks lol.

IDeas is a good Ds Emulator, because it allows you to disable layers, but your Computer must be tip top to run most Ds Emus (Mine Cant run them properly >_<). And You Can use animget and Sound recorder to get the images and sound. I DOnt know how to rip, but when i asked Neimad (Hes ripped quite a bit) those are the tools he told me to get, so yeah i think that should be all you need.  ;D. Ill Link to them if you need me to.

could you plz ^_^. Since my PC isn't uber status as well, it might be even better to do it like that. Months ago, I tried running the roms n such, but it went very very slow, which is what I actually might need for capturing sprites. The only problem with that is I can't rip the sounds >_<. I guess i'll find a way to do that though.

  • +1 to whoever added Godzilla to the main index.
Can you get a table dump from the rom?
i think we should call it an "engine" so we don't look like total idiots because otherwise we'd be arguing about a "game" and that would be somehow "dumber" than arguing about an "engine" on the "internet" for countless hours

sounds for the first game are just a generic sound which almost sounds like a windows warning sound or a winrar extraction complete sound the rest are a japanes guy saying shit like arcade mode.

I would look for gameplay videos either on youtube or shit like ign

Ideas Emulator is Here - http://www.ideasemu.org/index.php?act=downloads
Animget is here - http://www.gmdsoft.de/menne/z3c/animget.htm
Sound recorder comes with most Computers >_<.
Also i have no idea where to get a Bleach Ds Rom, but I bet a bit of google searching might bring one up, or you could ask Someone that currently rips from the game Like Alchemist, or BwdYeti.

That should be just about all you need to rip from a Ds Game, i Hope i helped  ;D
