the static cars and ship is whatever

sprite 1,2 is off

could have been better with some puddles and some flashing lights

simple efficient jigsaw

good improvement as I would expect from you

Players are too low though. You should adjust zoffset.
You could add shadows too.

Finally, try to animate the plane and add glowing lights or flashing lights, as MOTVN suggested.
