Maybe using the KOFXIII sprites+decreasing the size(don't remember if the correct is 0'5-0'45), and reshade the thing in Photoshop would help you A LOT(that would work for Andy, Takuma or Clark).

Mr. Big and TakumaI agree wit Felo on using rescaled KOFXIII Sprites. Should look waaay better than a conversion based on the old style.
I vote by Mr. Big and Hattori Hanzo (no matter if it's from Samurai Shodown or World Heroes, both of them are a MUST in this style )

CvS used the original looks of almost all of the SNK characters. (Kyo in his school uniform, Terry in his cap and vest, that god-awful Athena outfit) So, let's have the pre-2k2 Andy.

I say he should stick with normal KOF sprites instead using KOFXII/XIII ones. He already has a method to convert those sprites into CVS, learning another method like converting XIII sprites should use more time than with his method and probably you won't see Andy until 2013. I like 2001-2002 outfit, but since everyone likes the old outfit, I'll follow the mass in this case
My coloring the arms and hands separate colors you can recreate the 2001 costume with the old sprites via separation and palettes.

ummm well it is hatori hanzo of samurai shodown.......there was a time i wanted to make an sff of ngbc hanzo and also make jane from world heroes...but for the moment (at least for this year) is andy and hanzo the ones to take care....maybe in the time i finish andy there is a better ss hatori hanzo(eee well coded or similar to the original ( a pots style hatori hanzo that would be awseomesly epic))
We'll see. Only time will tell. If I'm not busy with other stuff, then it's very likely I will code SS Hanzo after you convert him. You'll have to be sure to get all his sprites though. When looking over your converted Genjuro, he's missing quite a few anims that would be needed for a CVS-ish conversion. And on the note of JZ's Andy, I'm sure he wouldn't mind. MUGEN's for everybody. No need to ask "permission" imo for stuff, just give credit where credit is due.
i remember i used a svc genjuro.......and it surely got some missed sprites(from other samurai shodown) could pm the to me plz.....
Sorry, but I don't have it anymore. I cancelled Genjuro in favor of Sagat. I thought I saw the sff you converted for Genjuro hosted at TM though. I was just comparing the sff to TightRiam's Genjuro, which I don't have anymore either because he's very OP. TightRiam's Genjuro had a lot more anims that were missing from your sff. Probably because he was using SS sprites, while your conversion was from SVC.

at least the way i do convert sprites take's a month with the proper practice(wich in the begining i didn`t have) the main problem is we all got a life to live with no presure i could easyli convert any in 3 months for sure;but that is not posible anymore...for the moment

That Andy damn sure looks good like Koji said. Also, please if time permits hook up the remaining sprites, that are missing form your Genjuro. The edited version for TightRam is OK, but with your CvS sprites and Jean fx he would be another all time favorite in mugen.
With all of this praise that people are giving the sprite of Andy that I posted I just wanted to clarify that it was made by DGO and I posted it to represent how I hope that Dampir's Andy will look like.DGO's thread
