NO this is not a compilation, nor is it an mkp edit



hello all, its been a good while since the last update. original thread ||ninja kombat announcement


for all those that dont know, this project started out as "mk: rebirth" but was canceled (and just to let everyone know, it is being worked on again!) when i started it back up, it became "mk: ninja kombat" as a working title. the projects official name is: Ninja Kombat: Kirisute Gomen

6 chars. around 10 stages. dont need 50+ chars and 200 stages, i wanted the gameplay to shine. dodges, counters, parrys, breakers, wakeup, etc. its all here.


been a lot of new things added

-new screen pack (since my last one got swiped)
-breaker system is now finished
-every character has 2 fighting styles that you can switch in between from at anytime and during combos (ala mk armageddon)
-every character also has a unique counter moves
-all the animations were redone to look more fluid
-and tons more

heres a quick vid of the progress. nothing too fancy, only shows off 3 of the chars... but shows you some things here and there.

I bow down to thee.... I just have no words to discribe your work... Just one thing i was wondering... I managed to notice that Smoke is not only transparent but also has a lot of smoke animation to the sprites... and all the fast game play is making me loose track of him... do you have the same problem while you're playing?

no, not at all.


the video quality isnt as good as the actual game its self, so its a lil bit choppy.

i understand... i'm glad ^^ anyway i'm looking forward to this you're not gonna just finish it and leave it behind right? i'm hoping you could upgrade it in time if it has a good sucess rate. and also i'm eagared to see mimik's story in this =]

i might do another updated release if too many bugs are found. but after this one, im doing mk rebirth then maybe a ninja kombat sequel.

you had those convos between the characters in rebirth right? that was awsome! are you using them in ninja kombat? i really enjoy the storyline of a game when i'm playing... it looked amazing =D

yes. there is a new char named mimik.
scorpion, sub-zero, reptile, noob-smoke, tremor and mimik is the roster.


i just saw it and i can't complain over what i'm seeing.. seems like our scorpy is pretty unbeatable in hell... hehehe =]

you had those convos between the characters in rebirth right? that was awsome! are you using them in ninja kombat? i really enjoy the storyline of a game when i'm playing... it looked amazing =D

well yea, when scorpions in the nether realm he grows stronger the longer hes there.

no, rebirth didnt have style switching, other then with noob smoke.

On the video the RESSURECTION shocked me. I thought the credits were going to show up.
Anyway, thats a sick MK project you got there.
Kinda strange but I woke up today and her hand was on my ass cheek
I won't suspect anything though I'll take it she was sleeping and didn't notice
you should have flipped over slowly

my bad, i thought u meant combos.

yea, theyre in there for now, but im thinking about removing them. dont want the thing to pop up everytime ppl try to have a fight

 :o A MK Mugen game I can get excited about! Great work incorporating the different styles! One thing I noticed, the Scorpion leg takedown/armbar thingy, are you gonna be able to incorporate a actually grappling system so you can counter or reverse these types of moves. Great animations for the new stuff by the way! And when are you gonna start releasing betas of the characters for testing purposes? (The sooner you release characters for testing before the beta of the official title the better!)


Oh yeah, character idea. Cyber Subzero If he was caught by the Lin Kuei and turned into a cyborg ninja!

Well actually i don't think that the existing characters should have spin-offs. Cyber Sub-Zero doesn't sound very promising to me atleast. Ninja Kombat introduces only ninjas (tho not all of them, but the most popular). The only original character is Mimik who is like Chamelion. Not much is given away with him which makes it interesting. Anyway i personaly dislike character spin-offs so i don't think they have to be put in any game. Thats only my opinion.

NO these arent the same ones released for regular mugen. those 2 chars are 2 years old (at least) i used them as my lab rats sometimes lol but later abandoned em to start a few projects. released em to hold ppl over til the projects are done

De todos los MK mugen este es el mejor de todos ( debe tener terrible programacion los chars ) Shinnox es un Maestro en esto...  es increiblemente el mejor de todos incluso mejor que el blood storm... :o :o
