There're a lot of deaths of famous people and in various times those are unnoticed for most of users. Should I suggest a sticky thread in Entertainment dedicated exclusively to this and then avoid the "name-of-guy IS DEAD" threads all over this subforum??

we should assume that people wouldnt make a thread about that unless they cared about the celebrity or artist they are talking about.

considering that, I dont think there should be a thread all about talking about dead persons, it would be weird and kindof ignored.

edit: wtf, ignored? I meant morbid. My brain is failing me.

It seems a bit overly morbid, I think.

Well, I just suggested it just to get a thread about it. But yeah, Iced is right... nevermind then, sorry

I can see why Basara would suggest this. It would reduce all the clutter in the All Thats Left thread, but as Iced said, making a sticky dedicated solely to trivializing something as saddening as death is kind of weird. I'm still in favor for it, though, if only because I too am sick of the "XXXX IS DEAD!!!" threads.

You limit yourself so badly when you try to avoid variables. When you get over your fear of the "complexity" of variables, you will find yourself in a better place: A beautiful world where coding is actually fun.

the clutter only happened like once , when the first page had like 4 different topic; not worth a topic merge at all.

if there was a single thread for celebrity deaths then basara wouldn't have to struggle to think with terrible puns whenever he makes one of those threads... just for everyone to bash him and have him change the title to "XXX is DEAD!!!"

... i'm just saying

^ I'm not doing that anymore, you know that, Tsundere Wolf?? Also, always I see those posts made by Walt, Titiln and even Iced and no one says anything...

Yeah, that was basically the idea, but not for space or something, just for group that kind of threads in one, that's all. You're very wrong about the intention of make a "morbid" thread or something, I was thinking in something like "entertanment news that don't deserve its own thread" and stuff

I refer about "XXXX is dead" title only. Also, don't start again about this, I'd enough with the Iron Lady thread before. I'm just suggesting about a possible thread to be made, but since there's no consensus about it, I'm OK with that and I respect your opinions about it :) thanks anyway for posting about this

the reason nobody yells at me, walt, iced or anyone else that makes death threads is that they usually don't fuck them up massively with misleading thread titles like you did with the margaret thatcher thread

You can't stop someone from replying to you by saying "I'm done". Because they're not necessarily done.

you tried to point out an instance of hypocrisy in the forum (nobody yells at walt or titiln or iced for death threads, but they yell at me, boo hoo) which was completely false for the reason i pointed out

wouldnt a mod telling you that the celebrity you cared about isnt worth your own thread to talk about and merging you thread about their death into a generic thread named "dont deserve its own thread" be insultive and demeaning? Considering ofcourse you only made a thread because you actually cared about the person you are talking about.

^ I felt that same way when the happy birthday threads were merged into a generic thread, and I think I've said so more than once.  I think the "XYZ is DEAD!!" thread titles are in poor taste and right now its a race to see who can be the first to announce someone is DEAD!  I dont see anything wrong with a "RIP" thread to announce celebrity deaths.  It usually turns into a "That sucks, RIP" instead of an actual discussion on that person and what he/she meant.
I think so, but isn't Regis Philbin already married?

I didn't ask you to explain, I'm giving my OPINION.  I shouldnt have to explain the definition of an opinion...but if you need a clue, "I feel, I think, I dont see"
signal an OPINION follows.

And in my OPINION, the people I interact with on this forum are more important than some celeb's death.

That's from two years ago, even though MissB brought up the same exact stuff you have to find something more recent than that to prove your point.

i'll just point to this thread http://mugenguild.com/forum/msg.1283003 and save everybody the time of arguing with you about this issue
You could post that old thread before instead arguing me and I would inmediately understand your point and stop my idea. Thanks anyway RP and MissB for supporting me with this, but I can't do anything against the majority. And again Iced point is right, I wouldn't like a celeb who died would be merged to a thread, I didn't see like that before.

Thanks to all for your opinions, I think there's nothing more to say, so I'm closing (and probably deleting) this thread for good :)

the reason i argued with you was because you brought up how nobody yells at other people when they make death threads but they yelled at your iron maiden thread.

Dude he only posted that link in response to MBH's posts in this topic, it has nothing to do with you. You don't have to be a shithead about it acting like everybody's out to get you. It's only making it worse for you.
If I struggled to the end of my determination, to the end of my way of life with my followers, if the result is ruin, then this ruin is inevitable. Grieve. Shed tears. But you cannot regret.

Clicking that link made me feel so grateful that one of MissBHaven's bad gimmicks disappeared with time.

Being contrary for the sake of being contrary isn't the gimmick in question, however.
