Nnaajj said, May 17, 2010, 10:10:44 pmUhhh... what?Ortega's the boss, remember? No, I meant in his original series. In the actual Slam Masters games, Scorpion was always the boss. Ortega was just a regular playable character, and aside from being in the intro of the first game, he was only in Slam Masters 2. That's why I suggested Scorpion be the sub-boss for the SM crew, since he was the boss of the series. No offense at all, but did you actually play the games?
Scorpion isn't the boss, he was just a normal character. In SM1 Ortega was the boss and in SM2 Ortega was the boss so what's your point? Ortega was playable in SM2 but, he still was the boss as you fought him at the end.I should be asking you the question: "No offense at all, but did you actually play the games"Also, what do you meen by Scorpion was only playable in the 2nd SM. He's in the roster of the 1st one. Seriously, what you on about?

Seriously, what you on about?http://hg101.kontek.net/slammasters/slammasters.htmWhat I meant is that Scorpion was the boss of both games, and that Ortega was only playable in the second game. If you don't believe me, check out the handy pile of information above. For example, it'll tell you that Scorpion is the "Primary antagonist of the series.", and that Ortega "is only playable in the final game of the series.", and if he was a boss-only character in the first game, that would have been mentioned. Worth checking out. And after checking that link ages ago, I played the games, and found this information to be true. Once again, no offense.
But the problem is, scorpion isn't the bossGo play Slam Masters 2 and then come back and tell me that you played against Ortega in the ending. It dosen't matter if Ortega wasn't playable in the first game, he still was the boss in both of them which makes him sub-boss material.Scorpion was one of the badass characters of the bunch and I'm not going to just place him in the unplayable sub-bosses. Also, the Slam Masters team is the second game not the first one. Which meens, Scorpion wouldn't be able to be the boss as he was a normal character in that game.So stop arguing.
Sorry. I did my research and you were kind of right. While Scorpion was the boss of the first game, and Ortega wasn't fought at all, Ortega was indeed the final boss of Slam Masters 2. I supposed my memory was off. No hard feelings?
Don't worry we're cool. There's nothing wrong with getting something little wrong. To be honest, I never knew there wasn't Ortega in the first game I just didn't want us to argue and kind of derail the topic.
QuoteTo be honest, they both are pretty lame. Yes, there one of the main characters but, they have alot of moves characters in the roster already have.Yes, they sucks. For real.Yeah, you need to scale it horizontally too. But use localcoord not scale.

katarn109 said, May 16, 2010, 09:02:57 amin my opinion Ken would be another nice char for SFII section of the roster.Screw Ryu and Ken. We need some Dan action. And Rasta vs Blanka would be epic.
I like Dan alot but, he's never been in any classic games like SF2.If he was in SF2 or something I would of added him from the start, lol.
This project is really starting to interest me now. All these characters look nice, and I would love to play it's Beta one day.I'm now following this project.
Thanks Cash. Glad someone is following the project even though I haven't been able to show much updates lately. I'll have some characters released soon, I'm just trying to perfect them. Also I've updated the roster a 'lil. Replaced Rip Saber in the Slam Masters 2 team with Oni.

Everybody knows I'm all about unique-ness but, I dunno...He's too unique! I'd rather keep the characters with the wrestler feel than a misfit in the wrong game, lol.To be honest, I like Rip more than Oni but he dosen't represent Slam Masters. If you know what I'm sayin?

Is it because he was in all of them, or he's more like a real wrestler, or something like that? But here's a possibility. At this point, it's possible for SF to go beyond six characters for various reasons. For now, you could just keep SM at six, but if the SF count ever goes over, you could always add in a 7th SM character. Like Rip, perhaps?Either that, or release Rip as DLC much later down the road.
Yes, he is more like a wrestler than Rip. Like I said, Rip looks like a misfit in the wrong game. Also, I don't think we will go pass 6 characters for SF2 because that is not balanced to the other teams. So that means you probably won't be seeing Rip, only if I decide to put him back in the roster. Also I'll release him but maybe not DLC, just a public release.

-21st May 2010-I've decided to get accurate animation times for all characters. Why? I dunno, it kinda keeps that retro feel and makes them more like there game counterpart.Characters like Haggar and Lucia and finally getting there update. These versions will include everything new in the system, better grapple system, better supers, more retro-ness and much more.Stay tuned, and hopefully you'll see a "Haggar v1.3 & Lucia v1.2" title in the Mugen 1.0 section.Started some new characters like Guy and Rasta. Guy has definitely got the system down.He feels very solid and now I just need to finish all the grapple moves and supers. Also, the blast palm is a hundred times better than the previous one.I'm still wondering if I should have hand drawn portraits for the game. It's really hard to get consistent pictures which fit so, handrawn would work much better.I can definitely draw good, just need someone to colour/cel shade my pictures and stuff. If you up for the job, PM me or email me.Finally, I now have a palette system. Each character has 6 palletes depending on which key you press. And ofcourse, Default would = aOh and 1 more thing. I've perfectly ripped a few SM2 sheets. Here's the list:OniScorpionRastaT.TimI can finally start on them
About getting accurate animation times, be careful. Characters come from different games, so the way they're animated and framecounts may be completely different. It's more important to have each character blend with the others (achieving same gameplay style for each) rather than saying "each character has accurate animtimes from their own game).
