hey guys im thinking about getting this game, but i have heard that you cannot play it online.

soo basically...is there ANY way to play mugen online?

Short answer, no.

We don't have access to Mugen's source code yet.

That's really a silly reason not to include online play. Many people don't have someone else to play MUGEN with IRL and it really gets dull to play against a bunch of stupid or cheap AI.

you could never tell whos a cheater.....................
IF they do online i think they should just include legit characters..we dont get to choose whos in or out they do.
that way there can be no editing or w/e.

  • Somebody PM when Caddie is no longer a mod.
Most likely you would have someone with a Mugen server,So that ever characters the server had is all you could use.

If it was just two people connecting to each other the mugen's would have to be exactly the same. So again, no cheating.

Technically you could set up a VPN with someone you really trusted... I suppose that might work

yes you could probably use a third party tool with a "screen sharing" function.
Since the MugenGame you want to share must be equal, the best would be to use the SAME! :P

One would do the server with the game and the other guy would join a screen sharing session with ability to use the same mouse and keyboard on the server pc...

Unfortunatley the tools out there are not powerful enough and not made for games /videos  (and often even without sound)
But maybe there are some crazy people out there who could make such a tool! 8)
