Why Namco, and not SNK or Sammy?

So long as Capcom look to CVS for their inspiration I guess I won't mind too much.  Hopefully they don't forget they have other fighters outside of Street Fighter though; some of the possible match ups are mouthwatering at the very least.  And a Tekken-style take on Street Fighter?  Should be, uh, interesting...
