As no one got interested on spriting my Gouken concept finally i did myself, starting on 29 march i ended today:

Notice this is only a edit done for purposes of testing, finding errors, and correct some of them, then sharing all this to ease the work of those interested. I do not claim ownership of this char, only of the sprites. The char was done by GM , the sprites by me , with the great help of Nio and Montresor to fix the pallete problems, thanks u all. No credit required when using but you can if you feel bad if you don´t.

Take the sprites from this char because they are the most updated ones by now.


All the edits you make with this sprites should be open sourced as well so you can exchange them with the rest of other persons interested.




By saying custom is saying it´s not cannon.( This Gouken have at least, 15 years less than alexlexus one, to put a good example). Wich as being open sourced means you can do wathever you like with them. I just wanted to make something different as all goukens out there are old white haired ones lol.

1 week is OK, 2 as much...I my laptop HD just got crashed, but seems that I will be able to work on my old Pc (but work will be slower  :S )

If I get the laptop working, it will be faster...

Nio (spriters academy staff) offered himself time ago to fix the sprites.

He suggested to try to fix them and then testing them on Shin Akuma by pots. So, here you have it, you can take the sprites wich are functional by now, not many, but the work progress is going well. So you can start making your own character with them, i will post updates on the progress of the fixing of the sprites here or elsewhere is needed.

Just put the 3 correct palletes name on fighter factory for it to work.

consider this like a WIP, cause I will use ShinGouki by pots as a base to make and fix all animations it needs...

In this link there are the sprites wich all share the same pallete (the PCX ones), nio told me they can work now but the only problem is that they are not transparent or something, so transparency should be added, check it out yourself, so if that´s the only

problem the work on fixing them totally is greatly reduced to just doing that in the sprites.

The color of the transparency is found on fighter factory to be the last one in the pallete, being the top right top down in that order.

Any questions or if this is not true they can work ask me or ask Nio kusanagi.

A nice contribution Indeed, the Bmp image are rather large so i deleted them.  and ony left the pcx(, although the pallet seems to be transparent correctly, It's probably due to the various colors that might not actually be in the sprite that the pallet looks wonky :P, Thats no big deal because anyone one who has made a pallet before can easily fiddle with the one by getting rid of the unnecessary colors via, PSP or FF.

ah rajaa, u dont know how much i have suffered for this (in the mugen sense). Yet, maybe there is not all ended.

all creators have been mailed except the ones on MI because it seems to be down. 6 people were interested since it´s release.

little update:

im in the process of adding all the sprites to the char Sf3 Gouki by Gm to try to align them and fix some little errors. Even then, not all will be fixed as some little pink dots will remain and seems i missed to do some sprites i found lacks on my set. Other than that, they work perfectly.

I will share here that spriteswap so people can start their work from a better point. Notice that is a spriteswap shared to help people, not to "release a character", because it helps on correction of some errors i noticed and i tried to make all sprites to have the correct axis, cropped, etc; with this i mean: take the sprites from the sff of this spriteswap i will share soon, using the GENERAL PALLETE (global pallete is called) that they have on the char, or the one that came on the link in the previous post because that one is the one that makes this work. Credits are GM for the char, Myself, Nio, and Montresor for the sprites (both helped me a lot).

What lacks?, to fix some stupid pink dots on some sprites. By now, im not onto the task of fix that :P. There are some stupid misalignments i did of some falls i didnt knew how to realign after made the mistake. Some sprites are lacking too of some animations you will notice, but they i suppose can be replaced with others similar already in the set.

Flamekyo started a wip in Mugen infantry and is very progressed on it. For anyone interested on using the sprites, you should take a look on the sprites of the final release of his char for edits and or corrections made.

Shin Gouki by Gm with my gouken sprites reuploaded with 11 palletes for the sake of a little estetic decency. The download link is the same posted earlier.

Messing in fighter Factory with the pallete editor i had just found yesterday im able to make palletes, though crappy but they are palletes  o_O.
