I have started work on my custom character. I have been making the sprites by paper and prepared to get them on the computer.

Problem is when it comes to coding my character, I'm going to need help. So I'm requesting the help of the numbers of developers out there to help me code this character. I have learned that creating characters takes awhile and it would be much easier for me if I could stick with the art aspect.

I am willing to pay for the help, I really cannot code the character myself.

I will now introduce one sprite I made on the computer showing his stand. It's not his complete stand animation that's just an example of what he is going to look like.

And a little history of the character:

Teo
Age: Unknown
Height: 5'9
Weight: 140 lbs
Bloodtype: Unknown
Fighting Style: Dark Dim Mak
Bio:
Teo has no memory of his past. He hates all weak human beings and he has come to believe that his only reason for living is to purify the earth by killing of the weak inhabitants. Teo has dark energy which flows through his veins and he channels this energy through most of his attacks through the "Touch of Death" martial arts, Dim Mak. Teo is a mysterious fighter. He defeats many of his opponents by countering their attacks and then going to the offense. The more Teo fights, the stronger he becomes.

More on this later.

at first, try to reskin Kung Fu Man totally with your sprite, including all the hit anim, and fall anim, and by that time, you'll be hooked by your project, and start to know more about what you're doing, try to open those files inside KFM folder, he is a tutorial character, and has a lot of explanation of how things work.

Working with a partner is better than working by yourself, and if they have  a good knowledge of scripting and coding in mugen, all the better. And I am willing to pay money for the service.

As an update I have finally copied all of my tracing paper sprites, and successfully scanned every one of them on the computer.

If it helps, I can give my coding partner some notes to reference. For example I will explain what happens when a certain attack hits the opponent or how the character acts and reacts, etc.

If you or anyone out there is skilled at coding in mugen and want to make some money in the process, send me a message via pm.

My Captain Falcon WIP is practice, an experiment, and my first character in progress. I need a coder, no ifs ands or buts.

  • does this look like the face of mercy?
On original works its harder to find help unless you are really really really good at spriting and can attract people over it ( or pay, but even then its hard to find people able to prove they work properly that will be willing to do it). Do you have your sprites all ready?
