Lets post mugen original characters that are good.

Original like Dragon Claw

lets refrain from posting characters that have custom gameplay or characters that appeared in other media like Duke Nukem, Custom Gameplay Ryu's etc etc.

Aiduzzi's (Suffers the same problem as choijin stuff...which is LOL damage combo output.)
Shades of Manhattan stuff
safirkreuz85's stuff looks promising. Still a bit early to see.
Jmorphman, POTS, Hero, Rajaa, Izumo's custom CVS style stuff.
Kohaku and ricepidgeon's custom styled chars.

Well, there are still many characters by Japanese creators, even though most of them aren't my cup of tea, be it for their gameplay and/or design.

Fanatail's chars are cool though.

Not really. A lot of them use edited sprites. And that really doesn't attract me at all, unless gameplay is awesome. Which happened only few times.

If edited-sprite works count, then Juke's Fliz, Flamme, and Lyzer are all pretty nice too.

Nao&M.'s original chars for AKOF project, like Another K', Nao, Hiel (the best Kula copycat IMO), Sula and Maxima Type-II

Also agree with original stuff from Rikard, Aiduzzi (I manage his chars as sub-bosses), Borghi, Juke and SeanAlty

I think the topic also incluides original chars edited from existing ones, the only exception should be adaptations of existing chars IMO

I tried out shartel, grizela and rucheca and have to say they are good characters, the only thing lacking are voices and Shartel is low res. Grizela and Rucheca are amazing I have no idea why no-one has used their VFX yet, they are available for download and look really beautiful.
