Alright I'm having this problem with Zero-Sennin's King. I made a custom pal for her and it shows up in Fighter Factory like so: Spoiler, click to toggle visibilty I named it King_NS.act I have my x button set to A so I press it for pal1 and this is what comes up: Spoiler, click to toggle visibiltyI've tried old Fighter Factory and it gives me a stream line error. Fighter Factory ultimate will not allow the .sff to show up, and FF3 shows everything fine but its just a bitch to even try to save things with it. Anyone know how to fix this problem???
He's using sffv2. Use fighter factory 3 to replace the palette. Click the folder icon of the right panel after you select which palette you want to exchange on the right panel.sffv2 doesn't give two licks about the palettes defined in the def file.I don't know what you mean FF3 is "bitch" to try to save things with. You're obviously doing something wrong.

The .sff for King is not in sffv2 format.

I've seen SFFv1 files that cannot be opened in older FF too. You can use sffextract then repack it with sprmaker and the new SFF file will work and open properly. It's probably because the character was made with something other than FF or the official tools, and the SFF contains problems that are ignored by the game.

The .sff for King is not in sffv2 format.Apply the palette to a png file and save that file, then change the palette like I told you before, but instead of selecting the act file, select that png file. If that's what you did before, then save the palette as an act file, then select that when changing the palette. Either or. FF3 automatically reversed palettes for certain types of files.
Spoke to Zero about this. It is Sffv2, the palettes in the .def and in the folders are oversights. Add your new palette to the sff file and make sure you renumber the old 1,1 palette or it'll take precedence.Unsure (as i have not bothered checking) if you can tell the keymap to load palette 13 and have it work.
Open King in FF3 and go to the SFF window. You need to scroll to the palette that you want to replace (use the scroll bar above the palette colors; all of King's palettes are in the palette group 1) and hit the little folder icon. It should open up a window to King's character folder. All you have to do is save your palette as an .act file and select it.Zero explained what I had to do, very simple and it makes me feel quite stupid but I guess that comes with just updating and dealing with FF3 and SFFv2. Now that the problem is fixed, the topic can be closed for real.
