Penelo's Creative Style of Palettes! Request are Finally OPEN! (Finally) 2014 :)

These are palettes that I created using Fighter Factory. I know some of them are not great, but its my opinion and tell me what you think okay and thank you so much.



The first one is based off Penelo from FFXII, Cruelty Blood Rose, She-Hulk, and the rest are custom.

I am new at this stuff. How do you send a preview of your palette picture because I don't know how?

You post them on any image hosting site and click the Mona Lisa icon right below the bold and paste the link in between the [img] things.

Hope the palettes are good because i love making and looking at palettes people make :D
now im so pumpd up buy som leefs frm the sloth shop

The Shermie palettes look alright, however they could use a bit of work. The first three ideas are a very nice start, so no discouragement I hope~! Also, I do not know how you can post your sprites in bigger resolution, as I can tell that they are somewhat blurred / pixelated.

Adding onto my post since I noticed new reply:

The new Yurika Kirishima palettes seem very off to me. The "Dark" one I feel should be something else. You can't really see her face or much detail at all in her. However, you are improving and I like that. Please keep up the work and I will critique more. Just make sure you focus on other palette makers around here for advice and such!

Thanks for the feedback Princess! I was originally trying to make a Shadow palette with Yurika Kirishima but I came up with Dark and I will redo it when I have the chance. And I am improving on making more palettes.

One major problem on most of your Palettes suffer.

You should add more contrast on the skin as they look way too bright compared to the colors on the clothes, You're off to a good start though

I wasn't a really good palette maker but I've had some experience and stuff I guess.
If I can't be the best, I sure as hell can be the worst.

Your blacks have no shading whatsoever, and are just a pitch blob.

You have some major contrast issues on all of your palettes that you really need to fix.

Also he was not being rude. Like, at all.

Erm, rude?  Not my intent.  My post was neutral at absolute worst.  Anyway let me explain how shading works using one of my own palettes as an example.




Look at Haggar's pants.  Notice how he has multiple shades of black to give the appearance of depth.  A single solid pitch of black just looks bad.  What tones you use should depend on the type of sprite though, as what looks good for one looks awkward on another.  Work on your contrast and you'll be surprised at how much better the results will be.
