...I've had a rather negative reception with past games from Platnium.  But it's a Korra game.

Damn, I dunno what to make of this now.

The preview screenshots look a little dated graphics-wise.

How on earth did we make it to a point where that screenshot looks dated?! It looks almost exactly like a still from the show. Including the way the Mecha is rendered.

For the record, this game will be downloadable, according to the teaser trailer.

... Meaning it may not be a AAA all the way, but at least we can expect some solid gameplay mechanics.

Yeah the three other shots look like screens from a PS2-era game. Kinda reminds me of XIII.

What game have you played?
Because MGR was fucking amazing. And I'm not a big fan of Bayonetta but the gameplay was alright.

What game have you played?
Own Anarchy Reigns, played Bayonetta with a friend and watched bits of Revengance.  Tried the Metal Gear game when its demo came with Zone of the Enders, couldn't get into it.  Also helps I don't know much on Metal Gear to begin with.  Heck, thought Raiden was a woman at first.

Not saying they can't make something enjoyable, I hope they do.  But what I've dealt with in the past didn't really click with me.

The fact that its getting a fall release and was a complete no show at E3 ( A PG and Activision game at that, seriously?) makes me think its just a cash grab. Though I do love platinum to death so I'll hold out on my judgement of it till we see some gameplay.

Poor Kamina. I don't know his involvement in this but I can see him getting flooded about this. As if bayonetta request for others console daily wasn't enough.

Destructoid gave it the most points out of the three and is not a bad rating at all.

The other two being IGN and Gamespot... eeeeeeeh I'll wait for user reviews. It's out today anyway.

Here is two codes to unlock

Spirit Korra costume: Must be in Korra's room on last costume to input code.
up, up, down, down, weak attack

Talisman-Shadow Fist: Must be in shop to input code.
right, right, left, left, weak attack

I wouldn't use the talisman on first play through since it adds extra hits and increases attack damage but it adds a cool matrix after image effect when you move and attack.

I've never watched the show, and barely watched avatar, but I am a fan of their character design and overall idea. I think the whole avatar/korra universe has a lot of lore and unique stuff to exploit should you make a game about it.

I'm only one hour into the game and gotta unlock 3 more elements so I can't talk too much about the game yet. I'll just say that if you like P*, you'll like the game, no matter if you know about TLOR or not. Animations are well done, enemy variety seems to be lacking, pro bending is fun but no multiplayer for it :(, camera is as wonky as usual from P* and game's kinda short from what I've heard, although you can totally see that the game is meant to be played several times to unlock everything and get all the achievements.

Fighting mechanics look shallow at first but the game has everything a DMC/Bayonetta fan loves. There's jump cancelling, guard cancels, dodge cancels with combo offset like in Bayonetta, style (Or element) cancelling to combine different elements in one combo. You'll definitely use all of these while trying to get the platinum medals as the game is rather strict about the ranking system. You don't get penalized for getting hit or using items, but both of these waste your time which is pretty important. You cannot just go for the kill either as finishing an arena fight really fast but with just a few hits will also award you a silver medal at best.
