This was a game that was reviewed in a Spanish videogames-related magazine published in the early 90s (probably circa year 92).

The game was based on medieval fantasy with knights and such. The game screen was splited up in 2 parts. Top part displayed the action and the characters/landscapes seen from a 2D side view, whereas the bottom part had squares like a board game in which the characters moved based on a die throw.

I remember there were several characters and it was turn based. Characters would find small enemies on the screen and fight them. Game screens were in color, between 16 and 256 colors.

I can't remember the name of the game, because at that time I didn't know English, but I believe it could have possibly been "black", "dark" "crown" or "tower" or something similar. Perhaps these are made-up words and had no actual relation to the game, and it is just my brain teasing me.

It was definitely a computer game, either a DOS-based game or perhaps Amiga, as these 2 systems were the top computing systems in the early 90s.  I don't believe it was ported to consoles, because back then few games from that period were released as multiplatform, unless they were really popular.

All I remember is being a kid and saying "Whooaa, what a cool game. I want to play it!", and since then I'm still trying to figure out which game was. I was never able to play the game, so please help me fulfill a childhood's dream.

I wonder how many games did not make that list, cause I can name a few.

I don't see there:
- Mario is Missing.
- DOS version of SFII (Bad port yes, but it existed)
- Mario's Fundamentals (There are DOS versions that exist)
- Oregon Trail

I guess the image can only name so many DOS games.

I will keep looking.
I do believe I have played a similar game, but that was back in 1996.
