That has the potential to be interesting though, especially since there's apparently a new friendship bond mechanic that'll be coming out. This means Pokemon fights could potentially stop being so mechanical and being more about the bonds with your Pokemon just like the plot told us for almost every game
True. It does seem odd trainers raise Pokemon with mechanics abuse...

I just hope these mechanics changes don't effect the possibility of migrating...

...

Although then again, having all these promo Pokemon this gen, JUST to throw them away seems pointless. And a way to hurt it's fanbase... Plus, R/S kinda didn't do so hot with the fanbase. Since you couldn't transfer your Pokemon. And MANY Pokemon weren't even obtainable until other entries in the series allowed it... So who knows.

So it'll be about grinding happiness boosting NPCs and cycling paths for an hour? Especially if they retain Join Avenue that lets you fill the place up with shops that sell happiness.

Since there won't be any tools to work with... So beating the Battle Frontier type place in this game might be even tougher. Since they'll have 31 on all IVs, where as you won't even know if you have good IVs...

Plus the Pokémon they send out (once you've won a few times around) have an advantage on your Pokémon. It's hardly fair :/

...and seeing as how this is pretty much the only thing to do post-game in Black and White, I really hope they include something fun in X and Y, like the Underground in Diamond and Pearl, the secret bases in Ruby and Sapphire, and the Game Corner and Pokéathlon in HeartGold and SoulSilver.

with shops that sell happiness.

And who said you couldn't buy happiness? :P

Indeed... And what's MORE aggravating? I actually hacked a Missingno.... Er, Double Question mark into my Emerald version, with a usable move set to boot... And for the heck of it tried it out in Battle Tower... The game PERFECTLY countered it. Since

1: It's normal type.

2: Has no ability.

3: Has Deoxys normal forme's stats... Super fast, and super powerful, but frail.

How does Battle Tower counter this? *Go Hitmontop! Hitmontop used Mach Punch! It's super effective! Missingno. fainted.*

...I was SO mad when that happened. And it happened again with a different enemy. But the results were the same.

And yeah. I hope for more end game content too. While I am somewhat competitive in nature... I just don't like having to deal with AI that don't know the meaning of fair play... I mean, you KNOW an AI is cheating when it can even counter something it shouldn't be normally programmed to deal with.

And yeah, I miss the Secret Bases... Heck, if you had more then one copy of the game. You could pretty much make an optional boss of your own. Since your friend's bases show up in your game. And if you used another copy you owned... You can give that trainer whatever you want them to have.

But yeah. I hope this time they try to add some more end game content this time around... I LOVE B/W and B2/W2. But end game stuff isn't their strong suit... Granted, at least in B2/W2 they added a few more optional things. So maybe there's hope...

And wow this got wordy. Sorry about that.

Not to drag it on or anything, seeing as we get the point (:P), but is it me, or do the AI's attacks seem to hit pretty much all the time, regardless of accuracy. That freaking Garbodor's Focus Blast hits pretty much every time, yet my Reuniclus' Focus Blast misses when I really need it to hit. Mind you, I did get some luck with Brightpowder:

Last Pokémon left - my Reuniclus vs. Ingo's Crustle.
His Crustle went first and got Reu with a powerful X-Scissor, getting Reu down to less than half HP.
Reu used Psychic and did about the same damage, however, Reu was slower, so he was surely done for...
Crustle used X-Scissor and...it missed! Brightpowder worked!
Reu used Psychic and took him down. I had won! Damn was that a good day.

That's about the only bit of luck I've had with those sorts of facilities, though.

That too... Hell, even the normal in game AI do this. Like Ghetsis's Hydreigon. With it's Fire Blast. It took a LONG time for it to miss it's mark with that. (I assume Iris' is the same way too. Though I put it to sleep before it could do that.)

And wow... THAT was an incredible stroke of luck. Nice win there. :)

There's online battles, PokeDex completion, effort value training, Global link/Dream World, certain offline events like Play! if you're near one, certain online events like the International Challenge if you're into that stuff, and more....what else do you have in mind?

I'm satisfied at how B2W2 came out to be even post-game, but there are lots of stuff to do if you're into Pokemon.

^Note how that all involves battling (minus the Dream World, but that's not part of the game itself, plus it only lasts for an hour every 24 hours, plus there's nothing to do once the Dream Bridge disappears...I only really use it for the EV-reducing berries anyway) - the same thing you've been doing up to post game.

To me, the Pokéathlon and the underground were by far the best things to do when taking a break from your adventure...the only downside to the underground was the battery consumption, but if you're using a 3DS and you know the trick, it's not such a problem ;)

That "New Pokemon" is confirmed to be Mewtwo... I'm not surprised at all.
http://www.serebii.net/index2.shtml
Personally, I theorize that it will trade it's Special Attack with it's Speed.

I am incontinent with indignant fan-rage.

I will show them my dissatisfaction at this choice by scowling while I shell out for copies of both X and Y on release day.  Furthermore I shall give my rival a bad name.  Not even funny, just bad.  That'll show'em.

Okay, now back to the checklist...

Basket Head being official confirmed: Check

Basket Head being a new forme of Mewtwo confirmed: Check

Like Scizor before it, Basket Head turns its cooler looking predecessor Mewtwo into the ubers version of Scyther but in this case, Mewtwo will still be an uber thus illegal in lower tiers. Therefore, Mewtwo is stuck in the weirdest competitive hell of un-use ever. Even more so than regular Kyurem confirmed: Not checked just yet

You know, ubers battles were pretty annoying anyway. Everyone and their mom starts out with choice scarf Kyogre and I doubt gen 6 is really gonna change that. I think I'll forget about ubers and place all of my attention to NU where the rest of my favorite Pokemon live :D.

I'm also under the impression that people keep neglecting data from the game, do you guys know how PotS made his original characters? He actually studied every single game he referenced, down to the core. Doing this properly requires understanding how the original system was made, not just winging it.

My childhood is still ruined. They should not have messed with him at all TBH. They've made some poor choices the past few times. And why the hell is Ash still in the anime? He's a terrible trainer. The only reason they keep him in is because in the Japanese version he's named after the creator of the series, or some crap like that. Like how Blue/Gary's Japanese name is Miyamoto, or Shigeru, I forget, just know he was named after that guy.
Other than that, I don't see why they need to keep him in.

It's a horrible design, but all of the other Pokemon this gen have been awesome.  Even gen 1 had a ton of hideous Pokemon to offset its awesome ones.  The REAL Mewtwo wouldn't have been nearly as cool if he didn't have to share a game with crap like Magneton, Weezing, Exeggutor and Dragonite.

Hey, I liked Dragonite or at least the whacked out one from R/B (the Green version sprite was so bad lol). I never really thought the old Mewtwo was much of a looker anyway so I find it to care about. Since its going to be an uber obviously, multiply that sentiment by two. I just don't get the 'basket head' and the tail relocation.

The better question is: why the hell is Ash immortal?

As for Mewtwotwo, Shedinja still eats it up.

Well..... The only explanations I can come up with is either this one, or this explanation.

So yea, he's been 10 for at over 10 years. The last conclusion I can come up with is that ongoing cartoon characters never age. Look at The Simpsons for that matter. ;)

But in all seriousness, Ash just needs to go back home, and start a new season with a new protagonist. The jokes are getting old now. Nothing makes sense anymore with Ash being there. :P

Hm. Yeah... Mewtwo is overrated...

But I like it anyway.

Like I said, I don't mind this new form. And I'm someone who watched the first movie when I was little.

Hopefully though, so that people won't have to be so upset. It has different stat distribution, rather then just plain being more powerful... I'm personally thinking it will focus on Speed. Rather then Special Attack.

...

Also, Brawl modders amaze me sometimes.

Spoiler, click to toggle visibilty

Someone already made a model for this new Mewtwo form.

Mewtwo is a a damn overrated Pokemon.

I don't think you know what that word means.  Mewtwo was the single most overpowered Pokemon for a long time and to this day is still widely used in ubers.
