Klefki and MegaLuke are still used (over the past 3 months they had 2.492% and 2.478% usage, which ranks them at #64 and #65 respectively), they just didn't make the OU cutoff of 3.41% (the lowest that made the cutoff was Thundurus-T at #54). Both of them are still B rank according to the Doubles Viability Rankings, so its not like they're completely useless.

I expect MegaLuke to be banned from Doubles UU to Doubles BL anyway :p

EDIT: Nothing official yet, but for those who care about tier other than Singles OU:
 
  • Smeargle and Geomancy are being called for suspect tests in Singles UU.
  • Dialga is being called for a suspect test to move down to Doubles OU.

If Dialga gets moved to UU I will find ways to use it, as it is one of my favorite Pokémon. Also interested in possible Geomancy ban in UU because that would break DeniSsSs or whatever's baton pass hax

Dialga's not moving down to DUU.

Doubles has its own tiers separate from Singles, so even if Dialga does move down to DOU, its still going to remain Uber in Singles.

A bit late with ORAS being released in 3 days, but Smogon's suspect test of Shadow Tag in ubers is over:

Initially, the results of the voting caused Smogon to announce that Shadow Tag would be banned from Ubers effective immediately, However, after some controversy arose among the staff as to how the voting was handled, this decision was ultimately overturned.

The following statement was also issued by Smogon's staff:

Earlier today a suspect test for Ubers concluded. The way the results were interpreted were... controversial to say the least, leading to me overturning the ruling. Just to get this out of the way,

Mega Gengar will not be banned from ubers, and neither will Shadow Tag, just as the community voted.

We are instituting new policies to ensure new tier leaders understand what is expected from them. I apologize to anyone who felt they didn't get a say in this suspect test, and I hope it is some consolation that the error was corrected quickly. We'll try to prevent anything like this from happening again.

I think it's the consensus of the Smogon Ubers community that the Uber suspect tests were a bad idea, and we will not be doing them anymore.

To me the concept of banning something from the banlist is stupid. I really think Smogon just needs to take a step back and give the tier system a fresh start, because NU is imbalanced, OU is cookie-cutter, Ubers is ridiculous, and other than that, just meh in general. And with MegaMence and CroBro becoming things in three days, the metagame is going to get ridiculous. Especially considering how much we already know of how broken they are. Pokémon as a whole is just going very Dragon Ball Z with everything, and I'm not sure if I care for it. Instead of doing anything fresh, they just keep making everything more powerful. Like, it was bad enough that Mega Mewtwo's BST was higher than Arceus, but now Mega Rayquaza's is as well. And then both Primals likely being usable on the same team, and pseudo-permanent weather being returned. Just, as opposed to making more unique things, like the old formula, they're just giving everything ridiculous power buffs. Like, I think Gen IV was probably about the end of the usable Pokémon formula. Gen V was just legendary spam, and Gen VI added megas, which more or less gave some Pokémon Saiyan blood, so eh.

I'm pretty sure Arceus still has a lot going for it compared to the MegaTwos. Plates changing its types, 120 across the board, etc. Those ginormous stats they gave Mewtwo don't matter as much as you think, given Life Orb Mewtwo is still stronger than MegaTwo Y by a bit.

But MegaQuaza's ability is new and unique, and so are the Primals' abilities, along with what they're doing with the Megas for the most part. They all add something new to the game. New strategies and whatnot. Not sure what you're talking about here.

Lemme list off the amount of legends that were added in each gen, counting legendaries:

Gen 5 was legendary spam no more than Gen 4 was, and a good portion of legends added in both were event Pokemon (six in Gen 4, four in Gen 5), which a lot of people can't get either way. Again, not too sure what you're going on about here.

Besides, it's kinda hard to give a franchise like Pokemon a fresh start, given how it operates on adding new shit while keeping the old stuff intact. Individual Pokemon mainly change due to new moves and new items being made available, along with other additions that affect the Pokemon by proxy, rather than being individually tweaked, which only really began to happen in Gen 6 on a widespread scale outside of Gen 2 making Magnemite's family part Steel. Completely overhauling Pokemon is nigh-impossible with the formulaic approach the franchise has taken for the past forever in mind.

Or maybe I'm just reading too deep into your post. Still some good grounds for discussion, I suppose.

Yeah that was probably unintelligible. I never actually thought of how many legendary Pokémon were introduced in Gen IV. I was mainly focused on Gen V having three trios which kind of bothered me. Anyways, rant over. Still looking forward to ORAS and such
