Quite a sadomasochist there arent we MK?

Edit: back in Fr/Lg about a year ago during a nuzlocke run just for shits and giggles, I evolved Eevee into Flareon and nicknamed it Tenshi.

You limit yourself so badly when you try to avoid variables. When you get over your fear of the "complexity" of variables, you will find yourself in a better place: A beautiful world where coding is actually fun.

I think he was refering to the fact Mean Look could no longer be baton passed, probably why he didn't include it.

4/7 eeveelutions screwed again
The sad.

Considering the track record Pokemon has had with adding new Eeveelutions ever even numbered Gen, we might be seeing 9 this time. But if the two new ones end up like Glaceon and Leafeon did competitively then idk.

Xerneas and Yveltal's official artwork, height, and weight revealed (no types yet though at this point I think it's pretty obvious Yveltal is at least part flying)

I can understand Light (since there's a Dark Type and all), but Sound? How would that even work?

I doubt it will happen though.

The light type is Fighting. Dark types are not like, actual darkness. They are Pokemon that use trickery and dirty tactics that may leave psychics and ghosts duped, but are no match for the real strength of fighting types.

I'm also under the impression that people keep neglecting data from the game, do you guys know how PotS made his original characters? He actually studied every single game he referenced, down to the core. Doing this properly requires understanding how the original system was made, not just winging it.

But then you have Umbreon, Houndoom, Sneasil, Absol, and a bunch of other Pokemon that truly are dark as a representation of darkness. Especially Umbreon since it evolves at night. So, yeah, your definition is not the only one.

A light type would make plenty of sense, though.

I'm rather surprised that light types haven't actually been introduced yet in a Pokemon game.
I suppose should the light type be added, both light and dark will be supper effective against each other? Or does anyone have the feeling one will dominate over the other?

I'd say, yes, they'd both be super effective against each other, it makes sense that way. But what type would resist light? Would steel types be completely unaffected by light type attacks?! Speculation is fun.

Fighting type is light. In Japan Fighting and Dark represent Justice (fair play) and Evil (trickery) respectively. That's why Dark is weak to Fighting. This more a lost in translation than anything.

I'd see Sound type a mile away. There are enough sound-based Pokemon, moves and abilities for the type to be it's own.

Sound type could be possible but I feel it unnecessary. When I read that I immediately thought of Loudred

If there's any new type I would want to see, it would be one that is strong against the dominant types (Dragon, Steel, Water) while being weak to Poison. Anything to actually make the poison type more useful outside of laying toxic spikes and absorbing toxic spikes flung at you.

I'm also under the impression that people keep neglecting data from the game, do you guys know how PotS made his original characters? He actually studied every single game he referenced, down to the core. Doing this properly requires understanding how the original system was made, not just winging it.
