Yo, what's good
           Was reccomended to join this forum alot... various wierd reasons but yeah...

~Gameplay~
This character is highly influenced by SF:3S, he' can't perform extremely long combos, maximum is around 7 (max around 15 with the use of specials/supers) but he is more combo friendly than the sf3 chars. He has a launcher (not sf3 like i know), his dash acts as an attack as i found it stupid when people dash into each other without making any noticable contact as the person would just hover left or right. er... not sure what else to mention, he includes the parry system. to make the character more fair, his dmage recieved will be multiplied when he's hit during certain animations such as an uppercut=leaves his ribcage open=more damage recieved if hit there. all his special attacks will require 500 power (out of 1000) if a special attack is used without enough power, health will be consumed instead xP

~Sounds~
At the moment, using sf3s sound effects for hit sounds etc. Voice sounds temporarily using sol/iori

~Visuals~
features custom sprites based off various characters, it was planned to bee 10000% original but due to time constraints (this character was originally made for a university project; A.I.P) i had to use bases to speed up production time, or else, fail the whole course. also included are various smoke effects accompanying the attacks emphasising on the movements of each body part and speed. custom hitsparks on the way, and...yeah not sure what else.

~extras~
the character also has an intro included with Shadow Dio (Waru)

the new revamp looks more like a moving drawing i like it nice intro with dio though :sugoi:

Your sprite work is phenomenal. I played with the alpha release before and what you had so far was amazing. I expect great things from this character.

Glad you all like the sprites and/or intro ^^'

is there anything you all don't like?... what would you suggest including or excluding, eg, sf3 press down upon hitting the ground from falling allows your to getup faster, sf3 guarding system where if stop holding back your char would stop guarding regardless of p2s actions O.o

looks awesome, and your ideas are awesome, only thing i dont really like is when his health is consumed instead of power, but thats just my opinion... good job nonetheless

About the health thing; it's to make sure people don't abuse the special attacks available, the characters normal attacks are enough to make him a boss, it takes a long time to charge up the power bar, i doubt it'd even fill up the first round unless of course you play on a higher health setting than 100%.

The amount of health taken is only half of the damage given to p2, which is the same as taking a 2/3 light punches from GMs SF3 Ryu.

~updated the vulnerability states, made it to be in levels

When hit during an opening in his normal movements or attacks - he will take damage X 0.2
When hit during a missed special attack - he will take damage x 0.5

ok, so then would you make it so that if the player only has, say, 100 more health, and he uses a special attack, would he die? or get knocked down to 1 health left

Seeing as the strongest special attack takes off a max of 30 points in health out of the 1000 the normal character has. if JnXC were to have 22 HP left and uses any of his special attack with insufficient power, his powerbar will empty and his health will drop to 1. it won't kill him ^^ but you Must have at least half the amount of hp consumption for- depends on which attack...for example;

Chrono break lvl 1 ~ REQUIRED ~ minimum 250power, minimum 13hp ~ max hp consumed, 25 ~ damage dealt 60

Chrono break lvl 2 ~ REQUIRED ~ minimum 250power, minimum 14hp ~ max hp consumed, 28 ~ damage dealt 69

The reason for this system is because
1~ The moves are Really unfair
2~ The damage dampener does NOT effect any of the special attacks which require power.

Strange system. I usually prefer a balanced move than a cheap move which the creator tries to compensate by giving strange attributes.
I'd have to see it in play to make sure.

It's rare to see fully original character with such great quality both spriting & gameplay wise (I miss Ryanide :(). Muscles at your char are perfect !!! You surely know human anatomy very well. Nice to see you trying balance him out.

I've been folowing your WIP for some time now but I didn't had a chance to thank you for it. You put alot effort in your char and I'm amazed at your skills. I hope it won't be your last character, because I want see more coming from you. Good luck, with Cybaster as tester this char can't end up bad.

it's broken only in the fact that it gives a seriously disgusting amount of invulnerability time, other than that, warm up and cool down times been extended (i reccomend these attacks don't get used in simul, unless you want p3/p4 to give you dmgx0.5 xD) however the damage is not much different from a your average hadouken, the range (excluding the misogi type move) is not evry far either. these attacks are only intended as safely landed a hit but minor damage, and the best combo enders as the dmg dampener does not effect these attacks ^^

well i do like him.
However i do not think that sprites are complete.
I would recommend adding more detail on pants and feet.
If you started to do so on upper half - than it should not be a problem to do on the bottom half.

There's nothing I didnt like gameplaywise or sprite wise on the old alpha. The only thing I didnt like was the level 3 hyper portrait and the select screen portrait, everything else was good from what I remember.

Yeah ><' really sorry about that, it was for a university project and well including a photo of yourself in a character based on you...blah blah you don't wanna know. in anycase it's been replaced with 1 of 3 version... his big portrait will now be one of these 3 (currently the black&white)




3rd ones just a bigger version of the black and white portrait. also making portraits compatible with the whole MBAC and such screenpacks. the hypers have been completely removed along with the sprites. you didn't hate the alphas gameplay?... what if he was weakened a Lot, had his combo ability knocked down a few levels and damage dampener made really harsh O.o...sounds bad i know but thats how this next version is xP... but cybaster doesn't seem to hate him too much after testing so i think i'm doing something right ><'

I trust your judgement. You seem to know what you're doing so I'd assume I'd still really enjoy the final product. And if cybaster likes it then that gives me more faith in how good this character will be.

And I like those big portraits, I assume you drew those yourself? Was it drawn in an image editing program or did you draw it with pencil or something and then scan it and color it?

It was a conceptual artwork done with normal ball point pens xD didn't intend for the art to be used at all. the original came with a cloak, armor and the demon merging with JnXC but... for the portrait, i had to use photoshop to take off the cloak/scarf covering his face and just edit to get it like that i guess O.o. pen->scan->colour/edit

They are his select character (big) portraits... xP i wouldn't make a hyper attacks background image so boring with little detail ^^
