I'm all for Arale.  Can give or take Bobobo, wasn't my kind of humor for the most part but got a few laughs when they started getting other manga artists involved in making fun of their own material.  He should do fine in here, though.  Third guy I feel like I should know because there are only so many characters with a soup can coming out of their head, but drawing a blank.

See, would've helped to have seen the full scan prior.
Turns out the only assist out of all five is Shouyou, aka. protag from Haikyuu!!

EDIT: Not to make this seem like a wishlist but I really want Wanpan to be repped in there. Though ironically I can't imagine Saitama being playable, but rather Genos who seems just way too perfect for that role. Saitama as an assist would be the greatest thing ever. That, or he'd be playable but maaaaad nerfed, with I guess Sonic or Genos as support. I'd be happy with just Saitama as an assist though because hnnnnnngghhh

Awesome, Arale.  Never read Dr. Slump but I do have very fond memories of playing as her in that one DBZ game where she was broken as fuck.  Tenkaichi 3, I think it was?  My brother and I used to play that game all the time, I'd always kick his ass with Arale because she was insanely OP for whatever reason.  After a while he'd rage quit just from seeing me pick her.  Good times, good times.   ;P

I'd love to see something from Death Note make it in here, but I can't really think of how it'd work here.  In JUS there was a Light assist that would set a timer on the opponent that would instantly kill them at the end of the countdown if it connected, but I don't think that'd work with this game's system.

It could empty the target's stamina, or wreck the team gauge thingy in your favor. As long as they don't keep the "you die" part too literal, it's easy to touch up. Putting a timer on the stamina could work well for a strategy, seeing the characters that heavily rely on it like Goku and Luffy.

OPM would be too OP, I' all for a playable Genos, I'd say Sonic but he hasn't been relevant since forever, I think One just forgot about him.

I'd say Sonic but he hasn't been relevant since forever, I think One just forgot about him.
He's still a fan favorite and the lineup will probably have more villains so who knows. But I don't see him getting a playable spot at all. ;_;

Alright, let's see what they say that's interesting...

Naruto :
Highly mobile attacks with Kage Bunshin, into high power single strikes. His Taijutsu (physical attacks) is fast but weak, but it lets you connect with a powerful Rasengan. Rasengan is one of the strongest attacks in the game, so using Kage Bunshin to try to lead to it is Naruto's foremost strategy. It can be performed in the air too, so pretty much from anywhere. Charge it to turn it into Fuuton - Rasen Shuriken, making it even stronger. The body double from Kage Bunshin is on auto-pilot, it can attack and act as a decoy, on top of giving you high combo opportunities. Just catch your target in a storm and you'll win.
The Sennin mode strengthens his attacks, and the Kurama mode is his strongest transformation. Sennin mode improves your regular combos, and the Rasengan can become True Fuuton Rasen Shuriken, a strong projectile. Kurama mode has unique actions that are fast-moving and of high pressure. Naruto is essentially a jack-of-all-trades that can do anything.

Kenshiro :
Professional close-ranged fighter. Several strong abilities at close range, expert combatant. Since he can't do much at long range... just get close. Hokuto Hyakuretsuken's duration can be enhanced, and it has a vacuum effect, so even if you do it outside of range, you can still hit. Tenha Kassatsu is his ranged tool, and Hokuto Zangaiken is unblockable. If you get in his range, you're already dead.
Musou Tensei, once activated, lets you evade anything, sooooo dodge and counter.
Yep, the whole video likes to repeat that he's a pro at close range.

Kankichi :
He has to survive among all those superhumans, without any high damaging attacks, so his stuff is mostly long range. His hobby is war zone survival, which makes him pretty unique. His main long range attack is the Firework Rocket Launcher. Once it hits, the target is sent flying up and blows up in a pretty firework... which gives you time to follow with a strong attack. His rockets are a rumbling that the target doesn't see coming, a good surprise attack. the Playtime Expert skill gives a lot of variety : the Radio controlled Helicopter works as an impediment, and the Menko (don't know what that is) lifts the target up, for a combo opportunity. When encircled, spin the Spinning Top to blow everyone away.
Survive through the stage by Crawling. Once in the Crawling stance, it's much harder for opponents to hit you, and you can hinder their movement with the Modified Racket Gun. It's not flashy, it's dirty but it works.

Yusuke :
Spirit Gun lets you control the distance for a smart fight at long range, and at close range, the Ora Ora explodes. He has no auto-win technique, but in a one-on-one fight, he goes all out recklessly. He can use the Spirit Gun even while moving, and you can charge it up to make it extra large, making it useful in any action and terrain. Ora Ora Action is the foundation of his style, you can even use what he did against Toguro, jumping and mounting the target, using his Organ Smasher. Shut the opponent up with the unblockable Spirit Shotgun (I can't find a Wiki/Wikipedia that has the official US name) or the close range version.
Fill some conditions in battle to take the demon form, boosting his parameters but also giving him follow-up attacks, turning him into a more physical fighter.

Yusuke looks so lackluster compared to everyone else but hopefully he can do legit keepaway. Kenshiro looks lackluster as opposed to how he was in JUS

A lot of returning characters from JUS. I'm suprised Bobobo made it even though he was playable in JUS. I have no idea how successful that was in Japan but I found it funny myself. He looks weird in 3D too.

Still surprised Momotaro and Edajima made it, never watched/read Sakigake but I loved playing with Momotaro in JUS, it took me a LONG time to figure out how to unlock him though.

I REALLY HOPE Hiei is playable and not just an assist.
