PSP Go and converting videos.

Hey whats up. So today I purchased a PSP Go. Really excited. Had to reset my router settings to connect to my network but that was cool. I knew that PSP Go was going to have bluetooth built it so I also purchased Rocketfish blutooth adapter for my desktop. Both the rocketfish adapter and psp go are picking up my moms cell phone but not each other. I figured this way I can transfer files w/o plugging psp into my desktop but something tells me thats not how it works right? It's only good for headsets? I've never done anything like this before so I am searching online right now but all answers are leading to headsets only.

  • Aka ShadesTeam/Zeckle
maybe pspgo bluetooth is the headset wireless, not internet wireless.

Well I kept on searching and I read that the built in bluetooth is indeed used for PS blutooth headsets because it has Skype feature and if say there is no wireless network present or you don't have access to networks you dont own but you have a blutooth enabled cell phone that has internet access then you can connect both and use your cell phone as a bridge for internet for the psp go and something about DS games but im not quite sure yet.

It's pretty cool right now. Sadly it doesn't seem to play .avi movie files so I am converting the movie to a different file type and I saved a background images as wallpaper and then deleted it but I can still choose it.

I appologize for bumping own thread but I figured I'd ask in the same thread anyway.

Right now I am still toying with my PSP Go and I like it so far. Fighters play pretty decent and I like the fact that MediaGo is a chill place for my media (not that I use it but it's a really neat orginizer). My concern right now is converting movie files. All of my movies are in .avi format which the system doesn't play so I need to convert it to mp4 (but please let me know if psp support any other file types). I used both AVS Video Converter and PSPVC and biggest issue now is sound quality. I've done numerous conversions with changed settings but the picture and sound still remain generaly the same. I belive on the default settings in PSPVC the soudn quality was really really low. There is also an option when you are watching a movie to make the sound come out from Left, Right or Both which don't do much and the sound button to make it from like Jazz, Smooth, Noisy ect. doesn't do much aswell.

I've had PSP 3000 issues so in essence this is my 1st psp. How would one get good sound quality from a conversion?

You can try Internet Video Converter, it's a decent program that can convert pretty much anything into pretty much anything including mp4, and while I've never tried mp4 specifically, I've never ad any particular problem with it. You can change a number of options for quality with it.
If I struggled to the end of my determination, to the end of my way of life with my followers, if the result is ruin, then this ruin is inevitable. Grieve. Shed tears. But you cannot regret.

Hey thanks for the reply guys I really appretiate it :D I will definately check out the programs you guys suggested as I would like to try out my opions before hoping to find a happy medium. Right now maybe I am just not used to video features on a tiny device like this as it is possible my ears are accustom to my computer speakers, headphones and slightly above average volume setting. My troubleshoot so far was only changing the bitrates to 192 which didn't really do much on sounds end. Possibly the movies I put on are soft spoken in dialouge because effects and fighting are the volume I want to have. Quality end is fine and ofcourse it depends on how the movie was ripped. I guess I may just have to get used to it.
