Question about the Fatal Frame series...

I am planning on getting the Fatal Frame games in the future and I'm wondering..

I know the first one is rated T for Teen

But why are the sequels rated M?

Is there more blood and gore in the sequels?

Or is it just because it's a survival-horror game?

Would choosing me for the question thread be a
unique experience?  I can't really say.

Yes I know that..

I'm asking why Fatal Frame's sequels are rated M..

I know Resident Evil and Silent Hill are rated M for mainly blood and gore..

But Fatal Frame is just catching ghosts with a camera!

Why would a simple game like that be rated M?

Would choosing me for the question thread be a
unique experience?  I can't really say.

Because horror is a genre that usually fucks up kids in the head when they consume too much of it without having developed the mental tools to separate reality from fiction,yo.

I can seperate fact from fiction already...

I'm just wondering that since the first Fatal Frame is rated Teen then why are the sequels are rated M?

Lol what? You're kidding right? Have you actually watched any gameplay vids of the series? Horror != blood and gore

The Fatal Frame series IS one of the scariest survival horror games. It might even be scarier than Silent Hill.

RE stopped being scary starting in RE4 btw. They're more action-oriented now.

I've played Resident Evil before(heck I beat it)

If Fatal Frames 2,3 and 4 are rated M for blood and gore, I'm fine with that.. :P

But if it's something else, I want to know..

Bayonetta is different..

You are not catching ghosts, you are killing angels by summoning demons..

Well if the sequels are rated M for the reason of adding more horror elements...

Then I guess my question is somewhat answered..

ok. sorry for derailing/hijacking the thread, but it ain't necessarily something for PM, and is related to the observation posted.

Luigi, let me ask you a question: do you like the Devil May Cry series?

wow.

that was an answer i didn't expect....

well, you probably won't like anyway.  Its from the same guy who did Bayonetta, and just as in Bayonetta, Angels are always the bad guys.

I'm done here. this thread can sink now.

Juon was a horrible movie simulator. If you mentioned Kuon instead it would have been different.

Which Juon was that?
The one I played wasn't a movie simulator

Kuon was an alright game, camera angles were horrible at times --;

There's only one Ju-on game and that was on the Wii.

Kuon's some obscure Survival Horror game from Japan.

There is a Ju-on game for the wii.

Also, in the newer Fatal Frames, they do show more graphic rituals. In some of the cutscenes, there are more violent means of killing the victim and the ghosts are more grotesque than the first game.

I made this sig. :ninja:
