[Question] How do I make burnt sprites?

Title says it all. I basically want to know, how to make burnt sprites like in EFZ or JmorphMan's Ken Masters.
I need that as another animation standard for my characters in RicePigeon's old style, and thus, for my Marisa_RP.
What I'm basically asking for is a tutorial or something similar that tells me, how to make burnt sprites. Thanks in advance!

Well, that was originally my idea, too, but Touhou characters never had anything that looked even remotely like burnt sprites.
I also noticed that burnt sprites tend to vary a lot, so I hoped that someone could at least tell me the standards of burnt sprites...
