Granted, it's not that hard since the two share a few traits - similar grammar, individual signs/kanji for important words, loanwords or newer words are "phonetically" spelled out or abbreviated (the sign for "apartment" is literally just spelling A-P-T really fast) - but juggling them gets confusing sometimes.
Being trilingual is pretty much a natural thing for us here since we're required to learn two other languages in our school curriculum.
Oh yeah we're taught Spanish in college as well but it's usually incredibly basic stuff and they're usually taught horribly that we all end up forgetting it.Some colleges teach Japanese as well.
