Release a buggy character or find beta-testers?

Are there any contributors that would be willing to help
find or fix bugs?

I've been working on this Ryu edit for some time now.
I've ran across a few problems I can't seem to solve.
I would've asked this in Development help but I'm not quite sure
where these bugs lay.

Three bugs I've found include:
-Ryu shaking like he's having a seizure when he's up next to a character in the Air.
-Ryu Parrying into a stand state after he Super Jumps..
-Dizzy hitsparks only show on one opponent in Simul..weird Dizzy bug happens as well

IS it better to just release a character with bugs and wait for someone
to notice them and give feedback? Or are there contributors at MFG that
would actually be willing to beta-test yet another Ryu edit to help me make
a better character?

If anyone is interested, I can send you a link, or just post the character here...

EDIT: Went ahead and added a link.

Sure, I'll help you.

It's well known that Simul mode messes up alot of things for most characters. It's probably best you dont worry about it. Unless it happens outside of simul as well.

It probably depends. If it's a beta, then you should probably get someone to test it for you.

You could take a middle ground, and release public betas for feedback.

This probably isnt the section to do so, but do you think I should just go ahead and add a link here and see what happens?

EDIT: Link to Ryu character at top for anyone interested, Thanks

A good idea is avoiding releasing to many betas, several people may get annoyed at them.
So release a single public beta and keep updating by taking basis in the feedback.
Once you're done fixing everything, work in other character and make that public to have more testers.

Release a buggy character as a beta. There are many bugs that you will not able to find on your own.

That's why you ask for beta-testers. Also, if you spot a bug, at least do the effort of trying to solve it, instead of saying "Oh well, I will wait for somebody else to find it and tell me why/when it happens". We're supposed to find things you've missed, not things you didn't want to solve unless people noticed it and just went ahead and released it. Unless it's something that you've been unable to solve and have commented or put it in your readme so people doesn't put it on their feedback since you already know it exists. It's quite annoying to do a feedback and then hear from the creator "Oh, I already knew that existed, but I just left it there".

Ahh I see how that could get annoying. I guess that was kinda my point. I wanted to solve it, I tried solving the problems, but in the end I couldn't pinpoint why these bugs were occuring, let alone know where to look for the problems to fix them myself. It's my own inexperience, or just lack of knowledge.
While some creators could ask for help concerning the issue, I don't know where the issue is, and figured it would be best to , instead of asking questions to a problem I only think might be causing these issues, to see if anyone else has either had the same problems and they know where to look or ,even better, have some advice on where I can look to solve these persistent troubles.

I understand feedback is for things creators tend to overlook and not meant for help in actually fixing the problems, that's why I was just asking whether anyone would be willing to help me with these few things by "beta-Testing".

  • does this look like the face of mercy?
Thats alright, you wont be finding everything on your own at start, but as you start finding them you can even find help on understanding why they are happening. What nanashi said is solid, you should write down somewhere in the readme the bugs you are aware and cant pinpoint, someone might know and go take a look trying to fix them.
