If you seen some of my comments, I proclaimed (i WILL) gonna make a Sauron, Blizzard (and maybe Chaos) from Primal Rage. And........

O.K, lets just skip to the main problem.....

Did anyone make or find a tutorial that you can rip sprites from the following consoles:
Atari Jaguar, platstation one, 3DO?  I seen a tutorial of ripping taht inuyasha game sprites,
but obviously, I can't find where it's hosted at without the risk of a virus..... >:(

Better you try to rip Primal Rage chars from the MAME version.

But..... HOW?!

When i first got MAME, it was a bit confusing to configure, Then deleted it. Besides, THERE WAS GONNA BE TO MANY FRAMES!

I want to rip from those so i can use this as an excuse to fool people that i wasn't lazy....

Given the choice between ripping the sprites the easy way (MAME) and doing it the hard way (PSX), you prefer the hard one. Okay, we have a challenge here.

You'll need to work with an ISO of the game, otherwise the stress put on the disc would probably scratch it or make your original game useless after a few hours of ripping. Also, you will need to work with the epsxe emulator and have a deep knowledge of ArtMoney, since all the in-game manipulation is made with it.

ArtMoney tutorials can be found everywhere, either in this forum or in google.

ArtMoney will let you lock the character on the middle of the screen and then browse through all its animations, allowing you to capture each frame. It may be possible to disable layers with ArtMoney (provided you find the right address) too, but don't count it as a given.

By the way, this also applies to any other emulator, not just for psx ones.

:haw:

"Deep Knowledge of ArtMoney" Lol, I just found out what that was today.

I have EPSXE, And a Primal Rage PS1 and Atari Jaguar read-OWNlee image.... I'm reading the
"Let's make and artmoney tutorial" Tut here. I'm gonna rip it from M.A.M.E since you said it was easier

(Which has plenty of more animations and stuff)

So far this artmoney thang's giving me trobule :beadyeyes2:
I've installed mame on my comptua, and the incomprehensible way too... but I did it.

I think i'll try a new stragety if the artmoney gives me more trobule:
Disable the background, And take screenshots of all the frames. Sounds stupid,
But thats how i ripped the SNES ones.
