Hi! I am an over 40s guy that still loves games, even though I am married and can't play a lot. Fighting games have always been been my favorite. I was looking at EF-12 when I realized it was far beyond my capabilities, when I came across MUGEN again. It had been a few years and back then seemed hard just to assemble one to play. Well the last 2 weeks i've been out while I waited for my job to start again so I gave it another look and was so amazed at what is being done and what is possible. I read the newbie advice thread and I do have my "dream game" in mind, but it will most likely be collections of premade chars and mods to pre existing screenpacks...at least while Im learning. I have filled a roster and manged to create a title/ main menu screen ( though I cant figure out how to change the main menu fonts, I think they were created special). I am learning the art of portrait creation at the moment, then I hope to learn how to make character selection screens and the such to be more unique. Maybe then I can try char. and stage creation...though I'm sure it will be a while.In my RL Im an IT tech with the county schools, supporting 2 elementary schools as the sole tech. Married, yada yada yada.I will be asking a lot of questions so I hope Im not to much of a bother or break any "asking rules"...and no, I wont request a char in a thread unless its that kind of thread.Excited to get started...So glad you guys are still doing this!!
