So I think Im going to up the count to 15 for the next round(instead of 12). Here's who will be released/updated:
Ryu
Sakura
Karin
Chun-Li
Alex
Zangief
S.Akuma
Kyosuke
Jill
Cody
Ingrid
Haggar/Strider Hiryu
Rolento/Morrigan
Ken(dlc)
Cammy(dlc)

Megaman needs some sprite edits and I havent settled on a movelist and some side stuff so he will get delayed till the third round. Im undecided on the last 2 slots.

Morrigan: Id like to add her anti air soul fist(that she had in MVC3), but I need sprites(like 3?)

Strider:
Shouldn't be too hard outside of Legion. Sff would be filler though.

Haggar:
Just need to decide what to do with his press(otg or not).

Rolento:
SFxTekken made me like him that much more and Ive already made characters with similar moves.

I could run a poll, but I feel kinda bad for not being able to let the last poll winner in just yet.

He's been in since the start. Just need to scrap his hps and come up with supers(I might be able to keep 1-2 from the mvc series, but its doubtful.)

Shin Akuma and Cody each have one special and supers left. Cammy just has 2 supers.

Sakura and Alex have their normals done. Both wont take too long once I get to them. Strider has normals and 2 specials/ex specials done.

Zangief and Ingrid have almost nothing done tbh. But I have solid bases for both.

Ive ruled out Rolento for now. So its between Morrigan and Haggar for the last slot. I'll probably hold off on the tag system till after beta2(you can technically tag with Chun-Li, Karin, Ryu, and Ken(but not really), but they have the old SF game tag system.

Im slowly, but surely getting there.

My trip to Illinois(which I thought you be late September/early October) has been bumped up to Mid August. So Ive lost over a month of time.

Only Sakura is ready(Cody has one super left, S.Akuma has 2 plus throws and intros/win poses, Cammy has 2 supers). Sakura's chargeable hadouken took a decent chunk of time to test and code. So I have roughly 11 days to do 7 characters. I can get maybe 4 done in that time. I'll have to drop Morrigan and a couple others. Sorry.

I'll try to get them done while in Illinois. I'll be there about 2 weeks

I leave tomorrow. Im hoping to have a public release on Friday(private on Wednesday).

Im splitting beta 2 into 2 releases. 1.5 has S.Akuma, Sakura, Cody, and Cammy. 2.0 has those + Strider, Alex, Zangief, and Morrigan/Haggar.

Cammy has one super left. Cody will need adjusted sounds(and some coding tweaks). Sakura and S.Akuma need a little more testing.

Just the betas. I split them into sections cause smaller goals working toward a bigger one is easier imo. Its close to ready.

Oh, the first one did send. It had an error so I assumed it didnt.

Cody will likely end up using Hh's snd file. My sounds are waaay too quiet. I doubled the volume from Zone's rips(4x made them sound kinda bad) and they are still quiet. Ryu's sounds were 4x iirc

I hate running in Capcom characters. Though Hiryu has a run for his dash(Juli had one in the SF game also). You can wavedash(I think its the term?) in CFJ2.

Reason I cant have Charlie and Rose or Guile and T.Hawk is cause I want each of the SF games to be equally represented. 4 each(like in CFJ) + bosses

It seems redundant to code the same thing twice with the old system at that. Im not really getting any feedback outside of my private testers anyway. I can only assume that means people arent finding anything. I think my time would be better spent getting the main release ready. Plus it seems kind of dumb to release them when there are better versions of pretty much all of them in mugen already(Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, Guile, etc)

Ah, I guess I'd best be ready for downloading a full game I might actually keep. I think it's best to test full game characters in their own environment, anyways. More room for creativity.

So Far I have Ryu switched. It took a little adjusting due to the way mugen is handling my common helpers(scaling them randomly). Ive already dealt with just about everything I mentioned in the other thread(except tag).

Basically, testers will be sent the full folder for now(now being when its ready). common fx, fight fx, common sound, etc

Yeah, I think you should hold off on the story mode until you have all the characters and whatnot coded and ready to go. Just a simple copy of Mugen with the characters and whatnot'll suffice for my testing as long as I can import Training :P

You probably wont be able to. If he doesnt have his own common1, he'll crash the mugen(he probably doesnt have a long jump command or isnt 1.0). The character has to say mugenversion = 1.0 to work in my mugen now lol

Turns out Ryu's AI was cheating. I just assumed I had given him a special cancel-able cl.hk

Morrigan's normals are coded(not done, cause I need to add chains). Added some more stuff to the common files(slash sparks). I got a little done at least. Mugen is doing some weird stuff with shared fx(scaling).

I think I want a female announcer for CFJ2.

I'm not sure where one could find that among Capcom games. They usually have male voices if I'm not mistaken. Perhaps some voice acting could help?

True, but it doesnt say stuff like "counter". Maybe I can do a double announcer? Like in MVC3? One for commentary and one for general stuff. It might clash though

I've not anything else to report aside from one suggestion. Sorry about your soon-to-be lack of internet, man. I'll keep on testing and reporting every now and then, though.

Lemme answer this for LA: because he's taking four from each game to put into the final product. The four from Street Fighter are Adon, Eagle, Ryu and Sagat. If he put Ken in the actual game, he'd need another from every other game he took characters from. That's a lot of extra coding just because Ken went into the game's original release. You're welcome.

All of Cody's Ruffians should be super cancel-able, they might have issues connecting though. Is that what you meant?

I prefer Ken to Ryu, but looking at the roster... I already have Ryu, Sakura, and Sagat. I can move Sagat to boss and add Ken that way, but I'd rather not if it can be avoided. There is still a chance I may move some of the bosses back to their original groups(Claw and Q. Dropping T.Hawk and maybe Dudley). Just depends. I do have each SF group capped at 4 non boss entries(16 total which I may have to adjust. It's half the roster).

All of my betas are in a separate place. I've asked Jz about making this visible, but he said we should hold off on that till I start doing main game releases and not testing releases(which is what these are for, testing/feedback).

I'd rather you not drop Dudley. I could care less about T. Hawk, but I really want to see Dudley in this style. But I've only been able to super cancel his C Ruffian Kick. I recommend you look into the cancel windows and see how strict/when during the attack they are available.

It was between Dudley and Makoto. I would need to keep Q in mid boss actually. Otherwise I would need to drop Makoto and Dudley. Either way, I think the roster has a little too much SF(and Jz complained about that too). I'll worry about that later.

I can cancel it with no problems? Its hard to make it combo, but it does cancel. It can be canceled as long as its active. It's not active the full length of the of the animation iirc. Could be why its not canceling for you?

I tried canceling as it was hitting like C Ruffian Kick does. It didn't come out for me. I don't have my Mugen with me, so I can't confirm it right now.

I just went through and canceled all 3 with no problems? I just did it fairly fast.

Time to do some tag coding.
