Thanks. I figured possibilities for how the attacks work might bring some inspiration as far as the spriting goes.

I mean, when I do character designs and artwork, sometimes I wind up starting with how it would look in motion.

Nice job. The roundhouse animation came out great!

The stance and jab animations still need some work (most of the movement in the lower body is very jerky, and there's some strange horizontal shifting in the stance), but it's definitely nice to see progress.

I can't make any promises, but it's possible I could help out with more animations the way I did for the roundhouse kick. If there's any animation in particular you'd like help with, just let me know, and if/when I'm able to help out, I'll start there I guess.

Don't usually work at this scale, but saw some spots where some more fluid animation would help a bit. Legs still have some kinks that will need to be worked out for sure; your lighting tends to shift a lot on them.

Stance still looks too jerky; Ryu shouldn't move left and right, only up and down.

Unless you count Pocket Fighter, Ken didn't have the flaming HadouKen, that's true. Figured it'd be an interesting idea for him and something new instead of just the multi-hit EX Hadou. But I digress.

Aside from Ryu's stance being a little jerky (you already responded to that, though) everything looks fantastic. Once you get down to smoothing out the animations, I'm pretty sure it's gonna be one of the best Ryus, at least one of the best *looking* in MUGEN since the release of 1.0.

Looks incredible! :D

I'm done with the lineart for the standing block, by the way. I'm basing everything off of the CVS sprites, since that seems to be the base for every other one shown here.

The original block was composed of two frames. I've made it 4 by adding two in-between frames. Hope you think it's enough! :P

The arms are kinda twitchy and I don't know what the hell I did with his right arm in the final frame, so watch out for that and fix if you can. I also noticed only NOW that the pants are no longer supposed to be torn up at the bottom... Oh, well... it's an easy fix anyway.

Sorry, I really wish I could've done a better job, but my knowledge of anatomy is nil. I really should learn how to draw real anatomy and not "wing it" so much.

What move should I do next? (I'm asking so I don't start work on something YOU'RE already working on).

Lol, some parts of the body go kind of crazy... his pants, especially... No worries, that's stuff that I can help edit later... now that it's already shaded, I can actually go in there and fix it myself, since I have a base for reference.

I'll finish the crouch/crouch block first, though. Don't worry.

I've been kinda busy with other stuff, but I've already started working on them!

Let me know if there's anything from the block sprite that gave you a hard time that you'd like me to prevent with these new sprites before I send them to you (like the pants being torn up, accidentally, for example)

Here's the crouch animation!

Same as with the block sprite, the shading is completely made up and improvised, so you might want to fix it.

Finished with the Crouching Block. It turns out Capcom recycled a big part of the standing block for the crouching block, so I did the same and finished quickly :P
